I'd like to know the story. My guess is the uploader used photobucket to share the pictures on a forum somewhere, one of the other prominent buell forums perhaps.
Well then let's hear the story! Where did you acquire said items, do you have more?
And is that your 1125 with the EBR tail section, airbox, and brake ducting?
For this forum, it's easiest to either upload images from your computer or if you're reposting from the www, use \image link{insertaddresshere.jpg} with no space.
You should either sell me that frt fairing at a low price, or make a negative mold of it. I would love to have a b2 frt fairing on my 1125. Dang, then I'd have to fab up a new fairing stay...
He has an 1190RX engine in the stock cases of that bike as well, since the original motor ate a valve shim IIRC. He bought the B2 bodywork from LAP, and bought a B2 wheel and Buell BPF forks from me, as well as several other bits he has planned.
Well Phelan (or anyone else), do you have any additional pictures of B2/parts that you could add to the archives?
Since a few years back, I've been scouring the internet and saving every single B2 picture that I've been able to find, plus a few that are not publicly available on the net. And I'm always looking for more. It's always been a "white buffalo" for me.
Saw them 3 times at different location around the country back in 1980/81. I was the guy holding the "Remember White Heart" sign and Ann called me out during a concert in Florida (Are you stalking us?). Got to meet most of the band backstage and got kissed on the cheek by both Ann and Nancy. Still gives me tingles.
I still have a few B2 parts somewhere. I designed the tooling for the inner duct work, the “butt stop”, and some chain guards. Started design work in the ignition bracket, THE NIGHT BEFORE they announced the shutdown.
I would have to search moving boxes for all those parts, since I've moved, and switched employers since then.
The only part I know I have for sure, is the "butt stop". Some day, I want to get Erik to sign it, and just hang it in my office, since it's like a one of a kind part.
Most of the cosmetic parts were molded by Bemis(yeah, the toilet seat mfg). The non cosmetic Buell parts were mostly done by New Berlin plastics. Including the XB frame pucks. I "acquired" a few sets of those during a visit to New Berlin back in the summer of 2009.
Buell, and HD kept us EXTREMELY busy in 2008-2009. I remember attending a small get-together at Hals HD duing Homecoming 2009, I had an ipod(the 40GB hard drive was ideal to transport back and forth to work) with several B2 part designs that I was mocking up to help quote. And noted to several Buellers they would love to see what's on there
We never had the chance to quote any of the actual bodywork. Bemis absolutely RAPED Buell on tooling costs. Like over 2x what we would charge for the same tooling at the time.
I am curious to know more Steve. I happen to have the front fairing and both black side fairings for the b2 setup. I was going to use an EBR belly pan with them and the 1190 radiators and oil cooler.
