I bought my first 22 rifle when I was about 20 years old but never really had a need for other firearms. I use to hear stories from my dad about hunting when he was young in the 30's with his brothers, and a good friend who talked about his family hunting trips when he was young. I always thought I would get a good shotgun and hunting rifle, but never needed either as life progressed. I have been to ranges that no longer exist shooting various caliber pistols, but have still never wanted another gun. The more recent change in climate with the political state of Kalifornia prompted me to purchase a Glock 17 two years ago "just because." Last year with their threat of crack downs on AR style rifles I built this one.  20" 223 wylde chamber that will hit a 10" circle at 300 yards with cheap ammo. At least six other people at work bought or built AR's last year because of impending changing laws. My latest acquisition is this nice Sig 1911 whose trigger puts the Glock to shame.  My next purchase will be a long range target rifle (thinking 6.5 Creedmoor) for the 1000 yard plus range. | ||
