Don't forget this is the regime that walks out of talks repeatedly over imagined slights.

Or to quote Admiral Ackbar, "It's a trap".

Sure, it's nice to get the snuggle bunny feeling that anything less than 700 megatons of nuclear fire, carefully divided up among the thousands of artillery units dug into bunkers, aimed at Seoul, will do any good.

But don't count on it.

Scott Adams said ~2 weeks that he expects at least one “walk away” during negotiations.

According to him, the difference in this round and previous attempts at negotiating with NK is that the sanctions are REALLY being enforced this time and Trump will not relent at all until there are real achievements in denuclearization. This time, we didn’t just take countries’ word that they were complying with sanctions, we went after individual companies that were not complying. Apparently certain Chinese companies were noted violators. NK will collapse in the near future if the sanctions aren’t lifted.

I hope Adams is right.

A direct quote is now a meme?

Of course it's not a direct quote. It's been pointed out to you a number of times now. It's good of you to confirm that you are keeping up with this thread. That demonstrates that you are completely disingenuous in repeatedly posting that meme. I would add, with pretty much everything you post.

Meanwhile, I hold my breath with full knowledge that the NK peace talks could fail at any time, it is worthy to note that Trump is making accomplishments in this area that have not been seen in my life time. This is something that the President of the choomer club couldn't even dream of.

Julie . . . you are an idiot.

"Locker Room" talk . . . . does not require you to have been in a locker room any more than "gutter language" requires one to lay in a gutter of "blue" jokes require one to take on a tint.

Trump is a brash . . . mouthy . . . obtuse person. His braggadocios nature is reminiscent of Obama bragging about smoking dope and not going to school (quotes from his book) while he was at Columbia.

I knew he was just . . . to use a dope smoking pun. . ."blowing smoke" up our asses. (by the way . . . that doesn't really require an ass either)

You're inability to engage in thoughtful dialogue has transfigured you into a spectacle . . .

I learn from many here . . .am entertained by you.

Opinion: The talks/negotiations/specifics of denuclearization/peace have already happened/are already in the book:

Intel Committee Publishes Russia Report
Washington, April 27, 2018

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement today:

“The Intelligence Community has finished its declassification review of the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia investigation final report. Given the substantial public interest at stake, the Committee is publishing the redacted version we’ve received. However, we object to the excessive and unjustified number of redactions, many of which do not relate to classified information. The Committee will convey our objections to the appropriate agencies and looks forward to publishing a less redacted version in the near future.”

The report is available here and here.

I agree. (in regards to the Korea deal)

And I suspect (also opinion) thats the reason the Dems are so pissed off and were fighting so hard against the appointment of Pompeo as SecState. He just....went and did it. Handled the negotiations, got the deal done, no fanfare, no handouts, no chance for the lobbyists to stick their noses into it, no chance for the press to screw it all up.

"Loose lips sink ships". Our businessman-President understands that. Don't broadcast your next move, and you'll win more deals.

I'm loving this . . . Mike Pompeo is a good friend of my Mother (who I think FB1 has met) and I know he's a no nonsense guy.

This could get good.

Think of all the travel Hillary Clinton did as Secretary of State . . . . and all that we have to show for it is self serving deals, personally, for the Clinton family.

The American folks were royally screwed by the past administration and it's so refreshing to see American being placed back on the tracks.

Wow: Kim Jong-un Declares “End of All Hostilities” and “Open Road to Unified Korea”
CTH, April 27, 2018

Absolutely stunning remarks today from North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un. Not only do both Kim Jong-un (North) and Moon Jae-in (South) discuss peace, but the DPRK actually goes the full-way-forward toward a unified Korean peninsula.

Kim Jong-un remarks begin at 09:00 of video below:

https://youtu.be/xL6IRZQYuC4

This is incredible. Not only does Kim Jong-un commit to a fully denuclearized Korean peninsula, but also the ending of all hostilities; the end of the Korean war; and, stunningly, the process to begin entering a phase for a completely unified North and South Korea.

On the NK/SK peace talks....

I HOPE Kim Jong Un has magically turned around and decided to actually bring freedom to his people. Just think, he could be THE revolution that entirely transformed his country. His citizens could go from impoverished, malnourished slaves to first-world citizens driving nice cars, eating Mcdonald's, shopping at Walmart, and slamming back a cold one after a hard days work at the office. Free to come and go as they please, free to listen to the music of their choice, free to vote for their national leaders, free to express their opinions. He could be the savior of NK as a nation.

BUT I somehow have a hard time trusting someone who was bred to hate everything that I just mentioned.

I'm not saying it's a trap, but.....

I just hope I'm wrong. For the people of NK's sake.

Hey, maybe they are talking about Julie!

On the idea of peace with the Koreas, it would certainly be a win for North and South Korea. It would be a win for the US. It would be a win for China. It would be a yuge win for the people of NK. It would pretty much be a win for the entire world. About the only person that I don't see it being a win for would be the missile man himself. It would be worth making missile man a hero in this and setting him up with riches for life IMO, if he were to step away from power.

Think they will award Trump with a Nobel Peace Prize?

It would VASTLY benefit Kim Jong Un as well. He would probably win your nobel peace prize. He could spin it (justly so) so that he was the redeemer of NK as a nation. He could take credit for everything. He probably SHOULD pursue that avenue.

Read through half of the redacted House Report.... According to the report, Trump and his cohorts are TOTALLY in the clear, but the DNC and the Clintons are NOT! BIG SURPRISE!!

It does claim, on a couple of occasions, that the Russian gov not only sought to destabilize the validity of the electoral system, but actually helped Trump. That part, I have a hard time believing.

Look at the 45 naked communist goals, look at everything Yuri Bezmenov (former KGB operative) said. Trump is the opposite of everything Soviet, everything Marxist. The Democratic party represents the majority of Marxist doctrine, watered down into a "western-acceptable" cocktail. The left fulfills Soviet subversion and destabilization goals. Trump's ideals protect America from it.

Additionally, the documents claims, many times, that Russian propaganda and hacking attempts were detrimental to BOTH sides.

Maybe they did help favor Trump and there was some method to their madness. It just doesn't compute.

Trump Deserves Credit for Korean Thaw
By Stephen Collinson, CNN - April 27, 2018

Any way you cut it, President Donald Trump is entitled to significant credit for Friday's historic opening between the two Koreas.

The summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in keeps alive the possibility of a legacy win for Trump that would rank as one of the top presidential achievements since World War II.

If he were to preside over the verifiable destruction of the North's nuclear and missile programs, formally end the 1950-53 Korean War and usher in the destruction of the world's last Cold War-era frontier, Trump would claim a feat that has eluded all of his most recent predecessors.

[snip]

"Clearly, credit goes to President Trump," South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in Seoul.

Just talked to my folks, both Korean War veterans.
They are "guardedly optimistic" about KJU and Moon's narrative.

I still think China(JinPing) laid down the law to KJU last month.
That doesn't detract from the fact that the Korean War might FINALLY see a PEACE treaty.
The very aggressive sanctions AND ENFORCEMENT seem to have worked.

I believe Trump can claim this triumph as his...

Read through half of the redacted House Report.... According to the report, Trump and his cohorts are TOTALLY in the clear, but the DNC and the Clintons are NOT! BIG SURPRISE!!

There's a dedicated thread on this at CTH: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/04/27/ho use-intel-committee-releases-final-report-on-activ e-russia-measures/

As always on the Treehouse, be sure to read the comments; there's a wealth of crowd-sourced intel there.

From Sundance's opening:

quote:

There are some initially revealing aspects to the release including: revelations that DNI James Clapper was a leaker to CNN about the Steele Dossier content and Presidential Briefing [SEE HERE]; and that Former Dianne Feinstein staff raised $50 million after the election to continue funding Fusion-GPS and Christopher Steele [SEE HERE]. Likely much of that money was used to pay journalists and continue the Muh Russia narrative.

The revelation about James Clapper leaking to CNN doesn’t come as a surprise because we actually noted the strong likelihood on the day of the report [January 10th, 2017 – see here], and then again after much of the suspicions were confirmed [HERE].

However, the revelations of Senator Dianne Feinstein participating in the overall post-election scheme to deploy the insurance policy [SEE HERE] do answer a nagging question that always seemed to lay quietly below the surface.

There's a lot more, including a link to the House report viewable on SCRIBD: http://www.scribd.com/doc/377590825

Not my words.

Food for thought from some thoughtful folks, as history continues to be made here in America and around the world:

quote:

I loved Ronald Reagan, and oh how I have longed for another Ronald Reagan to come forth. I always loathed Donald Trump. It was difficult for me to let go of that and accept that he was the one, but I did. And each day, I love and admire him more.

I still love Ronald Reagan. But he was the right man for his time. The era we live in now is a completely different world. It turns out Donald Trump is the right man, the perfect man, for today’s world.

Ronald Reagan had a vision for this country that was so inspiring, and he had the communication skills and style to sell that to Americans and the toughness to stand firm for that vision.

But Donald Trump has a vision, too. He may not describe in as a shining city on a hill, instead it’s MAGA on a ball cap, and he is able to sell that to normal Americans in a way that we understand even if the elites cannot. And I believe PDJT is even tougher than Ronald Reagan, and an even better negotiator, and a better manager and shrewder judge of his staff and Cabinet members.

You can’t always get what you want. But maybe sometimes you get what you need. Thank God!

quote:

PDJT is shattering everyone’s shallow perception of this man … a perception born of his frank, shorthand, construction jobsite speaking style. The perception is that Trump is an arrogant, self-obsessed narcissist … when he is nothing of the sort. This INCLUSIVE, respectful, acknowledgment of Xi’s contribution … doesn’t fit the Trump-HATERS narrative of the man … the President. All the Left has is HATE … and ignorance.

quote:

Our President:

He’s a builder at heart. He speaks to people so that they understand. You can’t speak to construction workers like you are in a tea room / meeting room, with platitudes and statements where they are left with a blank look saying and thinking…..Huh….?

And not just construction workers. His business required him to speak to the truck drivers, the cooks, the designers, the maids, taxi cab drivers, golfers…the entire gamut of individuals who were involved in building his empire. He had to understand their problems and their needs in order to “build” quality hotels and golf courses. And he had to talk to them in the way they understood…talk like us…Americans..

And, he was from Queens….where there is a language all it’s own…Queens…and even from where I’m from…where you gave everyone a name…everyone…you wore glasses you were “four eyes”, you were overweight, you were “Wimpy”, you were smart you were Professor” if you were Polish you were Ski….and if you lied you were Lyin, or Crooked, or lazy you were Lazy, or whatever….it comes natural to him..it is where he is from.

And he did not only learn from speaking with other people but by doing himself. His father taught him to get down with them, get down with the workers, and do it himself. As he has stated. His father had him counting nails, driving fork lifts, cooking meals.

And then as he grew to be a billionaire, he was in the meetings, the parties, the society of the high minded and powerful. He heard their conversations…their plans for the world…in the back rooms…he heard the names of the powerful who controlled everything. all he had to do was listen…

And he did not like what he heard…

So here we are …with a President who is one of us…did you see any of the video today of him speaking with the Olympians who won medals? Just touched your heart…he gave almost everyone one of them a chance to speak and say whatever they wanted. Joked with them like one of the guys and made them all feel special…from Bronze to Gold.

You can truly say he is one of us. The left hates him because he is just one of us…and…

He saved us…..he saved us all…….We should thank God every moment….

And to be quite honest, he is now also saving the world one country at a time….

God Bless our President and his family.

God Bless our President and his family.

Amen.
