I'm on my way to Tellico grains Bakery. If this works out right I should be there just as they open. I will have some breakfast, and take cherohala over to Deals Gap.

Pictures, postings, Etc coming later

There's not enough data signal here to post pictures yet, but I just had an incredible biscuit filled with Benton's bacon and cheddar cheese. About to head over cherohala to the Gap

No... signal... all... day...

...until I got back near Tellico. Home now, will post some pics in a bit. We had 18 Spyders in attendance. I learned a bunch of stuff about my car, like I can't keep up with a turbo V6 for one thing.

Brad, I didn't see your text until it was too late, but I really needed to be heading home by 3:30 and going 60 miles further into Tennessee just wasn't in the cards today.

So I had a great breakfast from 0800 to 0830 and then drove on up to meet with some other Spydermen near Deal's Gap... here are the first few I encountered

We soon left to meet with more at the store.

BRONY ALERT!!!! PING FROGGY!!!

Here's a few of us at a stopping point.

And here we have 18 Spyders at the base of the dam. Was pretty cool having this many in a convoy.

And the one in the foreground was the turbo V6 that kept walking away from me as if I were standing still.

It was a great day, weather was perfect, and I finished up by stopping at Jim's for ribs and wings, which I brought home with me. I can't wait until breakfast tomorrow, when I will tear into the herbal flatbread I got from Tellico Grains Bakery.

I had that bacon cheddar biscuit(loaf) on my way to April Buells. OMG. So good!

Jim's bbq.....you bastard!

This sporty car fun is occasionally what I go on about with my Vette club. 19 cars is nice, we did 414 a couple of years ago. Over 300 last year.

Got a memorial run over the Dragon in a couple weeks for club member who passed this week at 85. She still raced autocross.

I had planned to do a bunch of yardwork, etc., which got about half done... waited on a FedEx shipment that was SUPPOSED to arrive yesterday but didn't, then put a pork loin on and kinda overcooked it. (My sweetie wants everything "done", and sometimes I listen to her and screw things up.)

I might've done things differently yesterday... PERFECT riding weather, also found out my best buddy was camping down on 360 at a new place. Oh well. Got tomorrow with good weather off, will roll for a few hours one way or another.

Miatas are fast. I'll probably get mine back to the dragon this summer.

Looks like fun Matt!

+1- I got to drive a first gen Miata every now and then several years ago- dang thing was like a go-kart!! Just THINK about changing lanes, poof! I'd love to get a 2nd or 3rd gen with an auto trans and hardtop, that way my sweetie could drive it!

Matthew, you forgot to show the paparazzi some "love", as I always do...

Matthew! You're driving a car! You don't need to lean in the corners!!

I used to hear that from my driving instructors all the time. I just told them it's a bike thing, don't worry about it!

19 of us while I was there. Had a great time, the car performed flawlessly and I learned a lot about it in the process. So many different people with different mods, and as a result I now know that I'll be getting Tein coil overs and 17 inch wheels after I wear out the current set of tires.

I went to Ohlins coilovers for my Miata. Huge difference. Really helped reduce that body roll. Didn't want to point out the body roll, but as long as you brought up the coilover upgrade...

Oh yeah it's surprisingly not bad for bone stock...

Wait till you upgrade. It really transformed the Miata. Not just helping with body roll, but keeping all 4 tires under control on bumpy corners. The stock Miata would skip the back end sideways over bumps in a corner. Now it really feels planted. I assume the Spyder will see a nice improvement too.
