And that's what Julie fails to understand. Along with the rest of the liberal democrats. Having an opinion is one thing and I, for one, welcome rational and polite debate. It is another thing entirely to be rude, crass, and resort to sexual commentary and name calling. There is no place in a polite society for that sort of behavior. Want to debate and state an opposing opinion? Fine, but do it without the name calling and vile speech. Prove over and over again that you can't do that? Get out. Go spout somewhere else. This is not "open borders", this is OUR house. If you want to be here you play by our rules. Want to spout obscenities and be rude and hateful? Which is all fine, were it presented in a respectful, adult fashion. Childish expletives and name-calling belong on a playground - and the Democrat party at large could stand to learn that lesson as well. Personal attacks only serve to alienate the opposition, and make them even less likely to listen to, or care about, said parties' position on an issue. Be constructive, and change is possible. Be abusive...you're on your own. "Julie" has proven over and over again that they know nothing but abuse, and personal attacks, and crude language, and in the case of "just go kill yourselves", flat-out violence. I find "Julie"'s abusive rants to be a pleasant reminder of why my views are more aligned with reality than hers. Torquehd is right. Julie wants to be banned so she can claim we're all closed minded, and are afraid of "the truth". I think her reverse transference is worthy of observation. As long as shes posting bile filled tantrums no one is paying attention to, at least we know she hasn't harmed herself in some way. Sounds about right. I'm waiting for the backlash if the legislation gets passed, requiring drug screening for welfare benefits. I'm a little surprised the Left hasn't been up in arms about the jobless rate being so low. I mean, how can socialism work if everyone is working and earning their own way, instead of sitting back and suckling from the government teat? How are they going to hold onto their power? | ||

I expected it years ago, but drug prohibition is major bucks for law enforcement & the prison industry. Of course, like cheese, government supplied free pot will be mediocre, and there will be a big market for better. When the primary students are trading Ritalin to the secondary students for pot, you know it's a world beyond satire. ( yep, that's real. The real problem with legal marijuana is that it takes away business from the honest, hardworking, undocumented residents coming across the border. It's clearly a racist policy as it primarily hurts Latinos who have been smuggling it across the border for generations. Not only does it reduce their overall income by reducing demand, but the legalization also means that now they have to pay taxes on their income. Stop discriminating against Latinos!
