I plan to be at the Barber Museum the Sunday after the Atlanta Short Track. That means that I will have seen hundreds of really neat Vintage bikes just a few days before the rally. So I really don't care if I miss the vintage rally. (of course, if I had Bill's '78 XLH up & running, that might be a different story). It's the people that make it special. I really enjoy hanging out and talking with everybody - Mike, Matthew, Froggy, Greg, Glitch, Brad, Vern (if he makes it), Jim and everybody else. It would be worth attending if we were all meeting out in the middle of North Dakota where all the roads are straight and flat with a gravel parking lot to camp in. The fact that it's happening at my favorite campground in the Georgia mountains with good BBQ close by just makes it all the sweeter. I'm going to be camping anyhow, so I'll go along with whatever everybody else decides, but I think we ought to just have our own gig and keep the date as it is. |

I don't have an opinion since I live here and attend TWOS every weekend anyway. |

I love the old bikes too. If I had my old Trumpet running I'd ride it down there for that event. However, I'm with John. I'm there to see all you clowns, ride the great roads, (without a lot of traffic), eat some great Q and relax with a beer! Moving it to a later date wouldn't work for me, already something else on the calendar. |

I am up for staying the course. Planning on that bed Brad! Tent camping is not my favorite activity nowadays. Heck! Want to see a vintage motorcycle? Look in your garage or shed. I'll be riding mine. DOH! John and even Greg have the right idea here.....IMHO. Mike thanks, I respect your locality choice option. |

I'm for keeping the date, and honestly, I think we're better off for it. I spent an entire week at Disney World very recently, so I'm about done with crowds for a while. |

Okeydokey. The real draw to make it to TWoS, is, to just make it there and back... roads not choked with slow cages, or just slow mopes. I've got a stop at Benton's in Madisonville TN for hotdogs and sundry pork products, then one on TN 360 to fill up on true spring water (not the stuff that benefits from Ben-Gay, sorry Vern), then a required stop at Tellico Grains Bakery whether I'm hungry or not, then just rolling south. There's even a gas station in Copper Hill that has decent chicken livers... And, then there's Jim's Smokin' Butts. Now, I must say that if we're given a chance to throw $$$ at TWoS for grub, we should do so. I did witness some pretty impressive brisket there last time... |

Hmmm... just scanned TWoS' event calendar and a group called "Motorrad Angels and Hourglass Cycles" will be in attendance. Sounds like my dear Frau Blucher will be in good company! Hey Mike, do you know those folks? |

I can't wait to try out my new tent, hammock, sleeping bag, etc... I think we went through about 15 wheelbarrows of firewood last time... let's see if we can bust 20! |

Matthew, I'm pretty sure I thanked you for all that wood, if not, thanks again!!! You were a man on a mission- I think you were trying to melt one of those fire rings... it DID glow red for some time. I do miss the rustic camping, but I've grown to know, with my needs, that I'm better off with the amenities of the lodge rooms. I've still got my kit, maybe one day when the weather is solid good, I'll grab it out of the shed. And by the way, out of the blue, I just got a text from an old Lemon. Somehow this might be an EPIC gathering. Standby. |

wow, tax time. Have an appointment with my accountant day after tomorrow. First time to file a business account and personal. Still thinking about it. If I do it, I'll trailer the Uly with the Dodge P/U. I'll bring a tent and bag. Cheeeep is the word of the day. Z |

So Gretchen and I are eating ribs about 2 hours ago at the local BBQ joint, and I said out loud, "20 days from now I'll be eating Smokin' Jim's ribs instead of these..."
