People have been blaming video games for some time...especially after the GTA thing took off.

Beavis and Butthead were ruined by some idiots burning down their house.

There's always a scapegoat. No. Maybe your kids are just terrible people.

I must admit that after playing GTA-V for over 650 hours, I don't see commuting in the same way. I always wonder how far my car would go after knocking everyone off the road in front of me.

I also still peruse the online mall looking for that homing missile upgrade to the Cadillac.

Crossing the street is also a time of reflection on how many cars I can jack in under 3 minutes.

The thing is, I know full well the results of the actions I might take. The one thing my mom did for me was to make me understand the consequences of my actions.

Remember Carmageddon? Points for running over pedestrians?

I have a copy of Postal tucked away somewhere. I bought it at a computer show ( remember those? ) just because I had to have a copy and $10 was a bout right. I probably have about 20 minutes of total gameplay at buddy's houses, I don't recall ever loading the game. It was just because of the name, and my perverse sense of humor. I thought it was a "requirement" to have something that un-PC.

So, your Momma taught you not to slaughter innocents without conscience?

Funny. Same here.

I see more turnover in the administration.

My sarcastic theory they are going to fire the entire D.C. establishment by giving them temporary positions seems eerily real.

The turnover in the previous administration was mostly unremarked by the press, & the core co-conspirators were all intensely loyal to Barry. Cult of Personality loyal.

Donald seems to have a much more varied and free minded staff. Chosen on recommendation by others. Very different mind sets.

Very different reporting. After all, there were no scandals in the Obama administration. Just crimes and willing cover ups.

To this day I've yet to see anyone in Mainstream media ask about the golf companions ( never a women? ?? ) or interview the "film maker" "responsible" for the "spontaneous protests" by heavy weapons equipped AQ troops at Benghazi.

NOW Nikki Haley has proven with honor and integrity that she has exposed the Russian/Trump agents as being responsible for assassinating our UK allies, will she live to see the weekend?? " Nikki Haley has proven with honor and integrity "

Let's remember that for when the Ambassador does something that the kooks don't like and is suddenly literally Hitler.

Notice how none of the bogeymen are never literally Stalin or Mao who killed so many multiples of what Hitler did?

Post all the comics you want, this is the TRUTH from a TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT:

Statement by Andrew McCabe

I have been an FBI Special Agent for over 21 years. I spent half of that time investigating Russian Organized Crime as a street agent and Supervisor in New York City. I have spent the second half of my career focusing on national security issues and protecting this country from terrorism. I served in some of the most challenging, demanding investigative and leadership roles in the FBI. And I was privileged to serve as Deputy Director during a particularly tough time.

For the last year and a half, my family and I have been the targets of an unrelenting assault on our reputation and my service to this country. Articles too numerous to count have leveled every sort of false, defamatory and degrading allegation against us. The President's tweets have amplified and exacerbated it all. He called for my firing. He called for me to be stripped of my pension after more than 20 years of service. And all along we have said nothing, never wanting to distract from the mission of the FBI by addressing the lies told and repeated about us.

No more.

The investigation by the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General (OIG) has to be understood in the context of the attacks on my credibility. The investigation flows from my attempt to explain the FBI's involvement and my supervision of investigations involving Hillary Clinton. I was being portrayed in the media over and over as a political partisan, accused of closing down investigations under political pressure. The FBI was portrayed as caving under that pressure, and making decisions for political rather than law enforcement purposes. Nothing was further from the truth. In fact, this entire investigation stems from my efforts, fully authorized under FBI rules, to set the record straight on behalf of the Bureau, and to make clear that we were continuing an investigation that people in DOJ opposed.

The OIG investigation has focused on information I chose to share with a reporter through my public affairs officer and a legal counselor. As Deputy Director, I was one of only a few people who had the authority to do that. It was not a secret, it took place over several days, and others, including the Director, were aware of the interaction with the reporter. It was the type of exchange with the media that the Deputy Director oversees several times per week. In fact, it was the same type of work that I continued to do under Director Wray, at his request. The investigation subsequently focused on who I talked to, when I talked to them, and so forth. During these inquiries, I answered questions truthfully and as accurately as I could amidst the chaos that surrounded me. And when I thought my answers were misunderstood, I contacted investigators to correct them.

But looking at that in isolation completely misses the big picture. The big picture is a tale of what can happen when law enforcement is politicized, public servants are attacked, and people who are supposed to cherish and protect our institutions become instruments for damaging those institutions and people.

Here is the reality: I am being singled out and treated this way because of the role I played, the actions I took, and the events I witnessed in the aftermath of the firing of James Comey. The release of this report was accelerated only after my testimony to the House Intelligence Committee revealed that I would corroborate former Director Comey's accounts of his discussions with the President. The OIG's focus on me and this report became a part of an unprecedented effort by the Administration, driven by the President himself, to remove me from my position, destroy my reputation, and possibly strip me of a pension that I worked 21 years to earn. The accelerated release of the report, and the punitive actions taken in response, make sense only when viewed through this lens. Thursday's comments from the White House are just the latest example of this.

This attack on my credibility is one part of a larger effort not just to slander me personally, but to tain the FBI, law enforcement, and intelligence professionals more generally. It is part of this Administration's ongoing war on the FBI and the efforts of the Special Counsel investigation, which continue to this day. Their persistence in this campaign only highlights the importance of the Special Counsel's work.

I have always prided myself on serving my country with distinction and integrity, and I always encouraged those around me to do the same. Just ask them. To have my career end in this way, and to be accused of lacking candor when at worst I was distracted in the midst of chaotic events, is incredibly disappointing and unfair. But it will not erase the important work I was privileged to be a part of, the results of which will in the end be revealed for the country to see.

I have unfailing faith in the men and women of the FBI and I am confident that their efforts to seek justice will not be deterred.

That's quite a statement from McCabe. Breitbart, a very biased site, posted it in it's entirety. I have no opinion on his firing at this time. Other than to speculate about his part in a cover up of political injustice.

Brennan has lied to us and Congress enough times I wouldn't serve him coffee if I ran a coffee shop. If Americans don't trust the CIA it's partially his fault.

For decades I've watched two versions of propaganda about the CIA. One version says it's a hyper competent organization capable of overthrowing dictatorships with a paper clip and a Beretta. The other is they are bumbling country club morons who can't take tea with a bandit in a cave without giving up a country and revealing their latest plot to take pictures of Putin's colon.

Both are propaganda to confound our enemies abroad and the citizens of the country.

Before the Bush the Younger's regime, I would say the CIA was a ruthless group that boldly ruined the Russian occupation of Afghanistan and was prevented from competency by stupid civilian interference. Then came the Revolution against Bush. Leaks abounded with the intent of stopping the President's foreign policy and imposing the will of a few? Many? In a secret star chamber.... or apartment, upon the planet. And no one got put in prison.

Imagine if the OSS told the New York Times and thus Hitler, that FDR was planning to invade France in June at low tide, because an anonymous agent didn't approve. The hanging would have been done secretly to the public to avoid the shame that one treasonous wretch was responsible for tens of thousands dead in a war that would have stretched through 1946. Probably with the atom bomb dropped on Berlin by B-29s since without the D day invasion Russia wouldn't have survived. ( the argument that would have saved a billion lives in the rest of the century notwithstanding )

That's the CIA we've got. Rogue, corrupt with drug money, compulsively lying to the American people. And violating the law daily in it's KGB like domestic spying. Assassination is expected. And not Putin or fat Venezuela dictators.

And therein lies the rub.

The agents believe their own propaganda, and think they're untouchable. Good people - and I believe that McCabe may have been good at one point, I'm sure he was - get power-mad, their egos take over, they see others in similar positions make questionable choices and nobody touches them, and...they make decisions like McCabe made, to cover for political cronies and then to lie to Congress about it.

21 years of service does not excuse breaking the law.

21 years of service does not excuse lying to the American public to cover your own ass.

21 years of service is superseded by those two acts, when it comes to MY paying YOUR pension. Go get a job. And yes, I would like fries with that...

At least the GOP caught him. If he'd wronged the DNC/Clintons, he wouldn't have to worry about his pension.

He'd "commit suicide" like the rest of the folks who wrong the DNC...

Blustering by a fired employee. Here’s what’s real.

"Pursuant to Department Order 1202, and based on the report of the Inspector General, the findings of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, and the recommendation of the Department’s senior career official, I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately," Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement.
