I got a video of a death wobble and slide under a semi.
Pretty wild ride.

He didn't properly blur the speedometer while he was going down, it read 94mph at that point, who knows what it was when the tank slapper occurred, and I find it convenient that the 30 seconds before the shake occurs is not in the video at all.

Still, for the wreck to happen the way it did, that was a one in a million shot to slide under the truck without hitting anything like the landing gear, or worse.

From what I could surmise he had just landed a wheelie...crooked.

What bike was that? Kawasaki?

Been there. Santa Anna winds on Interstate 15. I was in the slow lane at 90 mph being passed by semi's. As we crossed a bridge the wind hit us from the right side and blew the semi over a 1/2 a lane, I blew over a whole lane. I was leaning so hard into the wind that the bike went under the semi before I could get it back in my lane! I was on a BMW K100RS so leaned over it fit under the trailer. As soon as we got past the valley the wind shut off and I almost went on the shoulder. That night on the news they mentioned the 80 mph Santa Anna winds.

The Tacoma Narrows bridge (the second one...not sure about the first or third) has a grated roadway with narrow cement paths where a car's tires track. On a bike, you try to stay on these paths. When the wind is really howling through the narrows, like toward the end of March, you have to lean over quite a lot in order to go straight. Unfortunately, the bridge towers block the wind, so twice on your trip across, you're suddenly leaned WAY too far over to stay on the narrow path of concrete, and you end up on the grating, still leaning, trying to straighten up and maintain grip, and then you're suddenly blasted with sidewind again. It's quite disconcerting, I can assure you. After a few crossings you get the rhythm down, and it's not a big deal.

Looks like a z1000

Crazy lucky to have slid under without snagging anything... regardless of what preceded the wobbles.

This poster ONLY posts links to vids on his page - why do we allow spammers like him to stay on the site?

I found the video to be interesting. The guy may only post links to his own site, but he's not rude, vulgar or insulting. Why should he be banned?

No, Im suggesting that we always get people who come here and spam with their videos for clicks.
Maybe Im confusing this one with another guy, but it seems there's always someone posting links to their youtube page to get clicks and NOT actually adding to the site.

Hootowl...been across that bridge a few times when we use to live up there. One definitely has to "adjust" ones "lean angle" and always, always be on the guard for abrupt counter leans when being passed/passing vehicles that block the wind going across..a real pucker moment at times.....wwweeeeeeee
