Interesting industrial design, it's bad cereal box package level stuff. The "hand" editorial complains about the lack of basic skill. This isn't a field I'm remotely qualified to be critical of. I've long known my artistic skills top off at mechanical drawing. Which takes effort and thought, for me. Interpretation of that art form I'm pretty good at. I did make a living at it and on a high level of complexity. But it's not the same KIND of art we are talking about here. Interpretation of mechanical drawings is mathematical and reality based. Not esthetic. Draw you a flower, free hand, or a portrait? Don't ask me. You won't like it. Not my thing. No talent. & limited ability to discuss the esthetics. I know what I like.... sometimes. Movies, car shapes? More my thing. I love Road & Track's dissection of car styling. But don't ask me to make either. I have partially trained appreciation. Not talent. Aerodynamics are a very different subject. The pretty comes from flow. The Invisible informs, & dictates, & the esthetic is from love of function, not the other way around. The fabled Stagger Wing is art deco perfection, because form follows function. So I'll let you judge Barry's portrait. Then I'll consider your view. | ||

Re: Sealed records. Barry spent big money, & not his, to hide his past. Snopes did not have any evidence to refute any claim. They just lied. But I would be lying too if I claimed Obama had lied about being a foreign student to get admitted or tax paid aid. I can't declare he had failing grades or poor attendance and got into the next school illegitimately. I don't have evidence either. Witnesses willing to talk and still alive seem a non existent pool. Of course there's his biographies. Not a lot in there about grades. I still don't know how you get your records sealed. I'd love to seal my second year in school. I spent far too much time on educational activities that didn't give me credit. Or were actual classes.  | ||

That was done before he was going to run for President. At the time, it was politically expedient for him to be seen as (pardon my pointing this out) rising up from a shit-hole country, to achieve great things in the US. It was supposed to portray the American dream. Does anybody really believe this was done "accidentally"? The idea of publishing an auto-biography, and not knowing the place of his birth is preposterous. It was intentional. My only question is, is it true? I've not seen credible evidence of where he was born. Should the assumption be that he lied to the people back in 1991? Perhaps. He does seem to be pathological that way. | ||

Ebutch. I have to call you on the double Barry picture with the make up and jewelry. Bad taste. Not nice to falsely mock someone for sexual preferences. Especially when it's not true. Barry is well known in Chicago gay circles for being a Top, a macho guy who likes sex with middle age white men. Allegedly. I'd guess it's an absent Daddy thing, or a dominance play, or something, if the rumours are true. The cliche cross dressing Barry is just insulting without cause. Both to Barry and cross dressers. I'm not "offended". It's just tiresome. A tiny bit less sniggering little boy humor would be nice. Good political satire is tricky. The balance between truth and exaggerated reality, arguable. Ymmv In my not so humble opinion. Besides, knowing Barry is a Top with a thing for older white men makes the "leg tingling" comments of a certain news pundit in a whole new perspective, doesn't it? I wouldn't worry about it unless you hang with that crowd or golf with Barry. Besides, it's just a rumour. I've never had "gaydar". I suppose I don't pay attention, but it doesn't matter. I was told that gays can tell I'm straight. That plus my ugly mug has given me a life almost completely free of sexual harassment. Obviousness helps. I don't notice someone is gay unless they act like a tv sitcom gay, & apparently don't notice getting hit on. Or I'm too repulsive to worry about it. Thus it's not a concern for me. If you're handsome and hang with that crowd, It's still no worry. You'd be vetted first by the SS. | ||
