And . . . when you copied it, Julie, you forgot to cite your source (now you are on the list of liars, too) and you left the Obama column off. Oooooops

I read about one fifth of the way down your list. It's a very uncharitable list with its own collection of blatant dishonesty. No evidence for illegal voting? ISIS actually formed in 2004, so Obama's abandonment of Iraq didn't create it? I think that kind of objection is an obvious clinging to semantics while ignoring the clearly intended meaning. It is deliberately taking someone's comments as uncharitably as possible, rather than the obvious meaning. It's not the only example. But regardless, please do choose the top three from your list that are most concerning to you. Maybe Trump said his tie was "red", where in actuality it was the color "scarlet." The horror. I jest, and some of the examples cited in your list are true enough, but understanding Trump's nature as a blabber-mouth blowhard braggart, I'm wondering which three you think are most serious. |

When a president lies repeatedly as part of his pushing for or against govt policy, or to avoid accountability, or to gaslight the facts of an serious issue contrary to reality, that is a serious matter. Obama did that REPEATEDLY! From what I can tell, the man is just a pathological liar. Simply look at the partial list from that NY Times opinion piece. |

When a president lies repeatedly as part of his pushing for or against govt policy, or to avoid accountability, or to gaslight the facts of an serious issue contrary to reality, that is a serious matter." Sounds a lot like Trump to me. If you read the NY Times article in its' entirety, which you already admitted you refused to do, the entirety of Obama's lies over 8 years of service, pales in comparison to the number of lies / inaccuracies told by Trump in his first 12 months. If Trump stopped lying tomorrow the number of lies told by Trump so far still outnumbers all the lies Obama has been caught in. |

Let Bob Mueller decide what Trump's biggest lies are Blake. I'm always going to stick by a military operator when I want the truth. |

Toro, The two are not mutually exclusive. We can let Mueller do his job, and you can answer the question. So would you please answer the question? I answered yours. Please have the respect to reciprocate. |

>>>Gee Court, you seem to be getting yourself quite worked up. Chill Captain. I'm really not worked up . . . . not much of this, in all candor, have much impact on me. However, I do confess to being amused at how much you are like Nancy Pelosi . . . the moment you are asked to simply back up your words with facts you call the person asking a name. It's a sign, frankly of rank stupidity. Do you currently hold office? . . .If not, you are eminently qualified. |

Court, That's not "Julie". "She" appears to be incapable of answering questions. And specializes in incoherent plagiarism. Toro appears to be a rational human being, although he hasn't yet set forth a stand on anything but Trump Hatred, and it's possible he's capable of learning. And Trump Hatred, as you know, is bipartisan. No one hates Trump like the Republican Establishment. ( and few hate them like Republican citizens ) |

Hogwash. Yes, November 2010. Meeting with the President was special of course, having my family and the unit there too made it especially so. Finding adjectives to describe it is tough. Lots of love that day all around. I felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest. The sort of day you never forget. |

Ebutch. I don't even know who "rev. write" is. Are you questioning how much President Obama loves America? I'm pretty certain President Obama loves the country as much as anybody else who serves for it. I'm taking my daughter out skiing. I'm done posting today. If you want to continue this you can message me. |

He was comparing you to a political figure, gender notwithstanding. Going on from there to say "you wouldn't have the guts to make the same comment to my face" could be construed as a veiled threat, and as such you brand yourself as the "keyboard warrior", not to mention you are in violation of our rules here. Mind your words, keep it civil tough guy. |

"You wouldn't have the guts to make the same comment to my face" Toro, You could do something easy that would help your ignorance. This internet gives us the ability to research the people we are talking at on forums. Look up the backgrounds of those you want to get huffy with. May save you some embarrassment or looking silly. Do I type this for your benefit? Not likely, but it may be here for the next "ONE". |

You spelled something wrong! Therefore Toro can claim your comments are invalid and you eat tide pods. It's his fallacy for you. Doesn't matter if it was auto correct. By posting write instead of Wright, Toro can lie to everyone about your point, your character, & your penis size. Most of all he can lie to himself and feel really good about himself, & that is what really matters. |

It's funny. I had the reputation at work of never talking behind the back of fellow workers, but speaking loudly right to the face of supervisors. I usually got away with it because I usually just said "The Emperor is naked". Fortunately few supervisors either read the classics, or saw Fractured Fairy Tales, or were willing to admit they understood me. They did send me to sensitivity training. Once. I made a grown man, the trainer, cry. I admit I printed out a list of logical fallacies so I could remember the Latin. The best part was my one line soliloquy, "Is there in Truth, no beauty?" Points for getting the source. (Message edited by aesquire on February 11, 2018) |

Hey Sifo. What's a Sifo? Well, you asked in a PM, and I answered. I'll answer again. It's just an acronym for Slow In Fast Out. It seems what we have with Toro is a real deal military hero. I say that with all sincerity. As I said in the PM, thanks for your service. You have certainly, more than earned my respect. As BO said of you...
quote:Staff Sergeant Giunta, repeatedly and without hesitation, you charged forward through extreme enemy fire, embodying the warrior ethos that says, “I will never leave a fallen comrade.” Your actions disrupted a devastating ambush before it could claim more lives. Your courage prevented the capture of an American soldier and brought that soldier back to his family. You may believe that you don’t deserve this honor, but it was your fellow soldiers who recommended you for it. In fact, your commander specifically said in his recommendation that you lived up to the standards of the most decorated American soldier of World War II, Audie Murphy, who famously repelled an overwhelming enemy attack by himself for one simple reason: “They were killing my friends.”
It's a shame that BO didn't feel that same need to do what he could to help a fallen comrade in Benghazi. Of course, he could have taken his action without any personal risk at all, yet chose to let those heroes die at the hands of our enemies. He then lied about what had happened. He lied to the American people. He lied to the families of those who died in that battle. He lied to the family of Ambassador Stevens. He sent his minions out to continue telling the lies to the American people, the families, and the press. In short, while your actions are certainly worthy of our respect and praise, what about the actions of those who fought and died in Benghazi. The survivors who claimed they were told to stand down, only to have our nation told that this was a lie. We were told their description of the battle was a lie, and nothing more than a protest that got out of hand. I can't help but wonder if your view of BO might be different had you been in Benghazi, instead of Afghanistan. Instead, for some reason, it's more prudent to call out Trump for exaggerating how many times he's been on the cover of Time magazine. |

My Father has nothing bad to say about Marines. He served with them in Korea. U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman. ( the Marines needed medics. The Navy supplied them. ) He doesn't have a lot nice to say about China. Do you have relatives in Rochester, Toro? The parachute rigger I learned from was Joe G. Back to bashing the Taqiyya President. I do have to admit to prejudice against the mullahs. Cost me a good paying job teaching machine shop in the oil fields. Missed the revolution by two weeks. Lucky. I would have been killed or worse if the timing was slightly different. I can just see an American with two weeks of Farsi trying to run away across the desert. I know Iranian and Iraqi expats here. One Iraqi customer kept telling me to tell Bush to invade and save his people. I never met Bush the Younger. I'm told he was a very nice guy to talk to. I seriously disagreed with his policies in the occupation of Iraq & Afghanistan. I believe he cost many lives by listening to the wrong people. I did support the liberation of both countries. The liberation of both were military and moral victories, in some cases of biblical proportions. ( see 12 Strong, the movie version of The Horse Soldiers ) |

So, apparently the former president and his wife's official portraits were revealed this morning:
HuffPost is delighted that the former president specifically chose a black, gay artist for his portrait.
Is it just me, or does that not look remotely like Mrs. Obama, apart from being an African-American woman? |

I've seen better from artists at the mall. The caricature artists who do cartoon versions on the spot. Since you told me it was Michelle I can see it. The arms, the scowl. I wouldn't be happy with either, but Michelle deserves better. Barry's is recognizably a portrait of him. Edit.... Barry's isn't that bad. (Message edited by aesquire on February 12, 2018) |
