That pretty much sums it up! The RoadCrust Relay is up there, but by the time we got to see Glitch riding "monkey" in a sidehack at TWoS, how can that be topped? BBQ, the insane asylum, and firepit Jenga up at Mark's W VA shindig was awesome too.

There are so many reasons why this place is magical, I don't know where to begin.

I think that having our own 20th Anniversary when the MoFoCo wouldn't give Buell any money to have one was a big deal. That got the attention of some of the management types when they weren't concentrating on getting Elton John for their wingding.

The way we all banded together when Nick in Daytona had his accident in 2006. Erik even came to the party at Nick's house after a very disappointing Daytona 200 earlier that day.

Glitch's heavy duty infection and recovery and the willingness to do whatever we could to help out.

The Crusty Relay. I'm still amazed at how everybody banded together to help me get home when my Roadster died.

The level of support and help that's been extended to people here is phenomenal. I have never been associated with a more helpful group who genuinely care about each other. I watched Greg fix Froggy's starter in the parking lot of Two Wheels of Suches, while a group was standing by in case help was needed. Or the effort to fix a flat tire on a Yamaha in the dark so that the rider could get to a shop the next day and buy a new tire.

BadWeB is a group I'm honored to be a part of. I have received incredible amounts of help from people here. I try to Pay it Forward, but I doubt I'll ever be able to give as much as I've received.

Like the motorcycles we love, we are "Different in Every Sense". In this case, that's not a good thing.

It's a Great Thing.

So much has happened in the last 15 years of me being a BadWeBber I'm afraid I can't remember it all.
One thing that does stick out in my mind though.
The time I realized BadWeB was much more than just a BBS.
This was when the 3%ers were in their beginnings.
The very beginnings.
We hadn't talked SMHD into a BRAG group yet...yet...
Big Daddy (Greg) and I got together and got some patches made.
I think I sold them for $5 a piece.

the first 3%er patch

They were selling like crazy.
About that time a riding friend, Ted, when off they wrong side of the mountain and broke his back.
BadWeB really came together for Ted, as I watched kind of amazed at what I was witnessing.
More than, way more than half the people helping didn't even know him.
Ferris, Greg and I were discussing how to divide the patch money.
Ferris being the BadWeB rep I believe.
Any way, Greg said, "just give him mine"
Ferris said cool, throw BadweB's in there with Greg's...
Wait, what?
That's awesome, I'm in.
Ted ended up at Shepherd's Spinal, about a half hour from us.
By then we had talked SMHD into BRAG.
So we found out what he needed, and filled up a backpack with the requested.
I stopped by the bank and got the patch money in all $20 bills.
Sat on the bike and stuffed every pocket the backpack had with equal amounts of cash.
Met up with the 3%ers and took off to the hospital.
He lit up as we all showed up, squeezing into the little room.
In true 3%er fashion we got him into a wheelchair at we got as far as the parking lot...
But that's another story.
As we were leaving he looked at me crying, thanking us for coming for a visit.
After that, I've been all in.
BadWeB was there for me too.
I had no idea y'all were doing what you were doing.
Helping Ann, and supporting her.
Getting things organized to where all she had to do was be there for me.
It was more than amazing to wake up and learn what all y'all did.
Between Ted's story, and mine, there are countless other stories.
Even more BadWeb goodness, before my time here.
Here's to 20 more!

^ What Glitch said. The fundraisers/auctions here on BWB - for Glitch and Ann, for Matt Ware and his family (including Alex's "Ride Across North America"), for Ted, etc. - really stand out to me. People helping people, for no other reason than it's the right thing to do, and it feels good.

I remember when BWB was just seven of us, e-mailing back and forth, before we went BBS.

What a ride.

FB&D : ): )

BadWeB helped me retain my sanity when Joanne Lighton was printing out message threads and mailing them to me in prison so I could keep up with what was going on.

Al Lighton taught me how to rebuild my forks when I had leaky seals on a Sunday... and wouldn't charge me for anything other than parts!

It's a big club, without having to actually join a club. In California I rode with Al, Ebear, Sparky, Mcgiver, Reindog and God only knows how many others. When I moved to Georgia, I met up with Froggy, Buellish, Squids, Crusty, Mr Grumpy, Joe and a bunch of others too numerous to name.

This is home, and you're all family.

Oh my God, Wolf, that is EXACTLY what my wife said when I said I was going to a camp out in West Virginia, with a bunch of Buell riders.

The only thing my son said was was ride fast if you hear banjo music.

I still chuckle thinking about that one.

I would NOT hesitate to ask for a hand with anything from the people here, I am so glad I found this place. I just wish I could be more of a regular at the events that happen over the year. The WV rally I made it to was so much fun.

Friends and Brothers, a few Sisters too.

Vern re-creating my wadded Triumph Sprint ST, in the proper British Racing Green. Rode the dog shit out of it before I realized I can't chase Tim anymore, cooked my rear brake. Sold that beautiful bike before it killed me.

Vern painting my Wixom fairing for the Beemer, so I can ride something that won't kill me now- but I still chase Charlie on his Victory, with his son Hayden on back.

Last time I was fast was in the N. GA mountains, about 4th behind Tom Bumpus, riding a newer CityX than mine... glad the county po po just saw ghosts off Richard Russell that day. And we all lived! Made it to C3 Central. They should have installed a giant hot tub by now, my only complaint.

Moto-crossing both in N. GA and in NC due to insanity- thanks Barker and other idiots. Almost shook the mirror off the Triumph, had arm pump on my Buell, lived to say.

Frogs buying us all lunch at Jim's. What a dude. Thanks again, I'll get you back for that, chowhound!

This thread, and Badweatherbikers, shall live forever.

Team Elves and salt flat racing. Really fine example of the power of BadWeb.

FBRAT was an amazing experience involving so many members here, still brings a smile to my face when I think of that summer.

Life has been really good around here

The afore mentioned stuff for sure.

I have been blessed to get to share my life with bunches of you All. Life time friendships that just won't wash off.

I had a few lay over parties years back for folks from distant places initially to help people not have to pay the expense of an overnight stay both ways when I had plenty of empty room, and a big old camper. It turned into BBB.

Burgers - Bonfire - Beer. A
Wood pallet burning laugh fest! (Oh.....and more than one of you got your first shot of the clear stuff here)

I always got the last laugh when any of you spent the night here! Youall thought I was doing it for you! Ha! Got ya! I so enjoyed doing it!

Wolfie.....that weekend at Homecoming 7. The aftermath of the incident on the go cart track we shared more than a room that weekend. So much fun. So much excitement. So much pain. It was awesome.

What I recall of campfires, clear stuff, Ben-Gay.

There is that Erik fellow that we all got to hang with because of this group.

I don't want to start mentioning names it would never stop. But I blame Crusty for a lot. The day I met him at Homecoming 7, and the days that followed from the Bazootie on, I learned about the pay it forward attitude of BadWeB.

Just simply THANK YOU BadWeB!

When my sister-in-law's brother-in-law, Zane was stricken with cancer, I simply asked to help if you can. The generosity of some that I have never even met was both astounding and humbling. Again, thank all of you who chose to help out a family you have never met. BW is an amazing group of people.

A bunch... Bought my M2 on my 21st birthday, was my first bike. Got to know a TON of folks though the site the first few years; attended the 20th with DaveS and the Waterloo crew, spent a bunch of time with Spidey and the Detroit crew during my time in college and co-ops in Iowa. 2004 I hung a thread about wanting to enbark on a cross continent trip to raise money for a college friend with brain cancer. That became my Ride Across North America from San Diego to Newfoundland where I started my friendship with Ferris, JB2, Court, Tripper, Griz, Newfie and so many others during and after that trip.

All of the benefits that we've done; Matt's was the first and many other benefits we did. Big Jim's ride, FBRAT, riding with Erik on a prototype 1125R, meetings to smell the Mountain Grass etc. Buells and Badweb were a bit part of my formative years in my 20s.

In my 30s and with a fam, the bikes mostly sit, but we do plenty of reminiscing about adventures and planning new ones. My M2 is still in the garage, hasn't been on the road in a number of years; Uly is getting new translucent blue body work on it Friday and may be sold soon for a BMW. I do have a stash of Buell stickers that'll likely go on my rides perpetually.

Thanks Blake for the community and for everyone being a part of a cool thing over the years!
