Fire every political appointee from previous administrations. Then declare every appointed job not actually mandated in the Constitution, as unnecessary. Don't replace them. Eliminate the position. Send a bill to Congress banning partisan patronage jobs that invite law breaking in support of political patronage. Invoke Roman corruption and the Inquisition. Tout the spending reduction. And the Fairness of politically blind civil service.

The screaming will be heard on the Moon.

To equal the freak out you'd have to declare Congress fetuses, remove all age restrictions on abortion, and put any taxpayer as loco parentis able to request an abortion on demand.

Btw, I have a few requests.

Watch for these names, in this order, in the news:

- Nunes (check)

- Grassley (check - see above)

- Goodlatte (EDIT 01/27/2018: check - see below)

- Horowitz

Consider it a countdown...

“Obstruction of Justice” – Special Agent Strzok Text Message Highlights FBI Investigative Intent
CTH, January 27, 2018

Since Thursday night we’ve been combing the FBI files to figure out exactly what FBI Agent Peter Strzok was referencing in one of the most recently released text messages. We have discovered the context and the text is now damning.

House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte read this specific text message on Thursday night during an interview with Sean Hannity:

At first, the context behind the September 10th, 2016, message was elusive, however it is now clear.

On September 2nd, 2016, during the (pre-election) apex of the FBI providing the documents behind their investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of her personal email, and the subsequent decision by FBI Director James Comey not to pursue criminal charges therein, the FBI released their investigative files:

September 2nd, 2016 https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/f bi-releases-documents-in-hillary-clinton-e-mail-in vestigation:

quote:

“Today the FBI is releasing a summary of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s July 2, 2016 interview with the FBI concerning allegations that classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on a personal e-mail server she used during her tenure. We also are releasing a factual summary of the FBI’s investigation into this matter.

We are making these materials available to the public in the interest of transparency and in response to numerous Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Appropriate redactions have been made for classified information or other material exempt from disclosure under FOIA. Additional information related to this investigation that the FBI releases in the future will be placed on The Vault, the FBI’s electronic FOIA library.”

The FBI was under pressure to release their investigative documents. On Sept 2nd, 2016 the release included the FBI investigative notes (FD-302’s) from the questions and answers during Hillary Clinton’s interview. This investigative release was big news at the time.

The 302’s are the specific FBI forms used to document interviews/interrogations. They detail questions asked and answers given as well as who was present during the interview.

Inside the September 2nd, 2016, FBI release were two files:

- One file was 47 pages (full pdf here) and includes a full summary of the Clinton email investigation.

- The second file is 11 pages (full pdf here) and is the actual FBI investigator notes during the Hillary Clinton interview.

This second file is the “FD-302” (embed at the bottom for reference). This is the 302 file FBI Agent Peter Strzok is referencing in the text message to Lisa Page. Remember, Peter Strzok was one of the FBI people who actually interviewed Hillary Clinton.

What FBI Agent Peter Strzok is admitting in the September 10th text message, is that there are details within the interview of Hillary Clinton that he (and others) intentionally withheld from the September 2nd, 2016, release.

Specifically, evidence withheld in the 302’s would be some of the FBI questions and some of the Hillary Clinton answers to those questions. In essence, the FBI held back actually releasing the full account of the interview.

According to the Strzok text message, the reason for withholding some of the details of the Hillary Clinton interview is because there are “very INFLAMMATORY things” within it; and once congress finds out what was withheld the details will “absolutely inflame” them.

Peter Strzok then goes on to say when/if the full FOIA is released, presumably post-election, Jim, Trisha, Dave and Mike are going to have to figure out how to deal with the discrepancy:

quote:

”I’m sure Jim and Trisha and Dave and Mike are all considering how things like that will play out as they talk among themselves.”

“Jim” is likely James Baker, the Chief Legal Counsel for FBI Director James Comey.

“Trish” is likely Trisha Beth Anderson, Office of Legal Counsel for the FBI. [Anderson was hired for the DOJ, by AG Eric Holder, from Eric Holder’s law firm.]

“Dave” and “Mike” currently remain unknown.

So it would appear, James Baker and Trisha Anderson, the legal advisers at the top of the FBI leadership apparatus, were both aware the September 2nd, 2016, FOIA release was manipulated to conceal part of Hillary Clinton’s questions and answers.

Perhaps now we can better understand the importance of this specific text message as it was released by House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte.

This message by Strzok shows a team of FBI officials intentionally conspiring to withhold “inflammatory” Clinton investigation evidence, from congress. And the decision-making goes directly to the very top leadership within the FBI.

[snip]

FBI Agent Peter Strzok is outlining in this text message a deliberate intent to shape the Clinton interview, and then a deliberative process of filtering out only those aspects of the interview that would support their pre-determined outcome, delivered only days later.

Additionally, FBI Agent Strzok is admitting that a group of FBI officials including himself, James Baker, Trisha Anderson, Lisa Page, and likely others (McCabe, Comey) conspired together to intentionally withhold information -derived from this interview- from Congress and the American people.

Yes, it's a witch hunt.

But, Mueller shouldn't be/can't be fired, because it'd be obstruction of justice.

President Trump needs to be/will be "exonerated" in spite of Mueller.

Which is very bad news for the left.

CNN’s Worst Nightmare – Youngstown Ohio Voters Thrilled With Trump’s First Year
CTH, Jan. 18, 2018

CNN took a production crew to Youngstown, Ohio to talk to formerly registered Democrats who switched parties in 2016 in order to support Donald Trump.

A year into President Trump’s administration, CNN asks them if they still support Donald Trump. The answers seemed to confound the questioner, CNN’s Martin Savage. And when the topic of illegal immigration surfaces, Savage had a ‘splodey head, WATCH:

Copy/pasta for you economics wonks pondering the latest GDP numbers:

quote:

[W]hy some countries around the world love the US economy booming. And why the Made in America label will take more time and will eventually lead to a GDP of 4-5% even with some exports.

GDP reported at 2.6%, expected to be at 3.0%. Why lower?

1) Inventories reduced GDP by -.67% The level of inventories is counted as product.

2) Foreign trade effect was -1.1%. U.S. GDP Growth Slips, Held Back by Foreign Trade & Inventories

http://www.haver.com/

Reasons for an increase in trade imbalance:

1) Shoppers spent like crazy in fourth quarter. Yes the boom….

2) But where did those products come from? China, Mexico, Korea, Indonesia, etc. So the increased shopping lead to a massive increase in imports to fill orders from US shoppers.

Does the US make any clothing? Not much.

Does the US make any appliances or electronics? Not much.

Does the US make much home furnishings? Not much.

Does the us make jewelry? Some. Watches? No.

These are common areas of the Christmas shoppers.

So the way is being paved to make more product in the US. But we see we are far from that now.

So US is booming and importers like China and Mexico and others love that until we start to make more product inside the US.

A balanced trade effect and GDP = 3.7% and creating more inventory raises it a little more.

All other parts of the GDP showed solid growth.

We just need to increase Made in America. And will take time.

So what did the markets think? 2.6%; they heard. Then they heard massive consumer spending that lead to more imports that reduced the GDP. Stocks fluttered for a short while and then went up some.

Then President Trump spoke in Davos and markets went up a lot.

President Trump speaking at Davos was rated a possibly significant market impact event by all financial sites. Trump can move the markets as they listen to him and his plans. 0bama could never move the markets because nobody believed anything he said and he had no business knowledge.

President Trump understands the above very well. He knows we need to make more products in the US and we need to export more products to other countries.

Thus his serious push on fair trade and paving the way for more US product exports.

Combined with making more inside the US and thus decreasing imports can eventually lead to a balanced trade effect.

At that point we are booming along at 4-5% GDP. Just fix the trade imbalances.

Isn't it a pity EBR isn't starting up for the first time right now?

Yep. : (

****************************

Sifo, I'd like to revisit the just-released GDP numbers. First, a short copy/pasta:

quote:

Did Bureau of Economic Analysis Sandbag Report on 4th Qtr U.S. GDP ?
CTH, January 27, 2018

The U.S. Fourth Quarter GDP growth was reported two days ago at 2.6% and that stunned everyone who were expecting a much higher number. All U.S. economic indicators including U.S. Holiday consumer spending, which accounts for around two-thirds of total GDP, were off the charts in the fourth quarter, growing +5.5% over the prior holiday.

The total growth in fourth quarter consumer spending was almost four percent (3.8%); that’s the highest rate of consumer spending in well over two years. Q4 investment in new housing increased 11.6%, business spending on equipment surged 11.4% and outlays on structures edged up 1.4%.

Before the BEA (Bureau of Economic Analysis) announcement, everyone predicted 4th quarter GDP growth would easily be over 3%, and most likely in the 3.5 to 4.0% range.

So what gives. Why did the Q4 GDP only grow at 2.6% ?

[snip]

The 4th quarter import deduction to GDP (goods -1.91%, services -.05%) is the biggest deduction EVER, and potentially - heck, likely - massively over-estimated.

Hence their disclaimer:

quote:

“The Bureau emphasized that the fourth-quarter advance estimate released today is based on source data that are incomplete or subject to further revision by the source agency.”

Specifically because the BEA made the biggest deduction in their history to the GDP growth rate; and specifically because fourth quarter sales were so historic in scope; we can expect that on February 28th, 2018, when the full rolled-up data is reviewed, there will likely be the biggest revision ever to their 2.6% GDP growth. Initial estimate too low.

If you just use import history as a guide the actual 4th quarter GDP growth will end up at least a full one percent higher. That would put the actual result around 3.6% which is exactly the landscape everyone thought it would be.

To answer the question: Did the BEA sandbag the number? Well, you decide. I think the evidence is clear they have been far too conservative with the estimate.

^ Source, more: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/01/27/di d-bureau-of-economic-analysis-sandbag-report-on-4t h-qtr-u-s-gdp/

You can read the rest of the article if you want, but: did the BEA "politicize" the number the other day? If so, why?

For anyone so inclined to answer these questions, you'd want to find out who is the current director of the BEA and do a deep dive on their history.

And then take it a step further and find out who appointed this person and do a deep dive on their history (this one is particularly interesting).

Didn't Zero's GDP numbers always subsequently get revised downward?

I'm betting come Feb. 28th when we get P45's revised 4th quarter number it is significantly higher than 2.6%.

Food for thought.

Best,

Come on FB. The BEA is non-political, just like the DOJ, or the FBI, or the IRS, or the BLM, or the... Oh, crap! They might just fudge the numbers a bit!

Let me add another criticism of Trump. I really don't think he had a grasp of how our government fails to work when he got into office. He has simply learned to do things differently. No doubt, there's plenty of good about that also. We need more politician that know how private business works, instead of how government fails to work. The good thing about Trump on this point is that he has been quick to learn. You simply don't achieve what he has without that ability. IMO, that's great news for year two in office!

Back to GDP, it's worth noting that 2017 saw an unusually bad hurricane season that was predicted to take a tole on GDP. It almost certainly did take a told on GDP. In short, these GDP numbers are not the product of the stars lining up perfectly to hit unlikely numbers. It is in fact hitting these numbers despite some real negative factors thrown in too. I'm not saying Trumps first year got cheated on this. These sorts of things happen all the time. Aiming for, and hitting numbers above 3% is a wonderful change from folks like BO and Hillary who were telling us that 1.5 to 2% was a new normal that we just had to learn to live with. Imagine what could be accomplished if we didn't have those working to stop his MAGA policies. Those people need to be culled from public service.

There are now unsubstantiated allegations that Trump wanted to slaughter the Democrats in Congress and bathe in their blood. Naturally, they are triggered.

Correction. I wanted Trump to do so. Democrats were still triggered over Trump's use of the word Christmas.

It's easy to see that they don't perceive a difference between calling Dec. 25 Christmas and mass murder. At this point in the outrage cycle there is no difference between telling the truth and eating babies, for Democrats. Unless you're a Castro or president of Venezuela, in that case, your baby eating is a bold move to fight Global Warming.

I wonder how many of these morons believe "it's 0bamas policies" that's feeding the economy. Do they really think that's the case? Or are they just trying to trumpet more noise to distract from the fact that they're FAILURES?

I do think we're starting to see some truth coming out in MSM stories. It seems they're starting to realize, that people realize they're full of $hit and they have to shape up, or lose what's left of their credibility.

Mid-terms could still be interesting though...I hope the GOP has more strength at the polls than they appear to have in interviews and in the press.

I really don't think we have a lot to worry about aside from tossing the RINOs out on their ass. Support for Trump is increasing rather than waning. This is a reality that the MSM is doing a good job of burying (look at the audience/site traffic for pro-Trump venues - everything from Rush Limbaugh to Reddit's r/The_Donald - more and more people are tuning in every month). I genuinely feel that any GOP candidate that he stumps for will be a shoe-in. Combine all that with the bombshell that's about to drop on the public concerning the FISA memos and things have never looked so good.

The Dems are claiming Trump is guilty of "obstruction of justice" for wanting to fire Mueller.

Read that sentence carefully.

Now, I'm not going to debate whether our President has the ability/right to fire someone if he sees fit (my understanding is, he does have that right)...my concern is the Dems complaint that he is guilty of obstruction because he wanted to fire Mueller.

Wanted to.

Didn't...

So what, now they're the thought police? Do they realize how facking stupid they are, claiming this? He "wanted" to do something, so he's guilty of a crime? Nevermind proving that he wanted to do something that never got done...and that it's something he apparently has every right to do even if he DID do it?

Idiots.

Same for the newsies. I'm watching Fox & Friends at the moment, and even they're treating it like there's something real to be concerned about.

HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. Literally. Not "he didn't do anything wrong"...he didn't do ANYTHING. He didn't fire the guy. Make THAT point, and move along folks!!

I presume SOTU will be another of his spectacular speeches; I can't wait to see what sort of smokescreen-distraction-bullshit the left throws up after he delivers it tomorrow night.

Iirc Denver joins San Francisco as sh$#/&le countries.

When San Francisco starts sting operations to catch waiters who offer you a plastic straw, I suggest the waiter's activist groups organize a mass sh/^ in in front of City hall. Especially on the ramps to the City Hall's private exclusive parking garage. & in front of local, state, & federal elected representatives. Nancy Pelosi's house.

I look forward to the same tactics at the Capitol in D.C.

We need a new motto.

"Democrats bring back the Dark Ages"

"Poopergate"

"Plague, the new normal."

"Wipe that Democrat off your back as you wipe their policy off your shoe"
