Coincidentally, while I was napping a few minutes ago,Jenni from Two Wheels of Suches called and left a voicemail asking if I were interested in putting Buell and Moto Guzzi events on the callendar. Is there any interest? If so should we shoot for Late March or sometime in April?Although it's warm here now we've been having unusually cold weather for North Georgia and I don't think it's over. The roads in Suches are covered with sand, salt and gravel right now. |

April seems to be historically less rainy than March in N GA, and warmer is better. After a couple of March Badnesses were solid rain-outs, we shifted to April Buell's Day for at least a year or two. |

I spoke with Jenni just to tell her I would call tomorrow after getting input from you guys. The first weekend in April is the only one not booked by any event, the second is the Vintage rally that Bloke put on for the first time last year and I think it had the biggest turnout of any event in TWO'S history except the 50cc rally. The third is the Dogwood rally and the fourth is the KLR rally.I really don't have any knowledge of either event. In the past few years our numbers have been few but mighty in spirit and I don't think we will be much of a problem on most weekends but I won't through our calendar dart at the weekend of the 13th,14, and 15th based on last years event. As Hugh said March can be cold, wet and unpredictable. What say ye? |

I'm in for the Vintage rally! When I found out that I'd missed it, DANG!!! I'm guessing that all available rooms/cabins are booked already... To me, that's one of the greatest things about TWoS- the sheer number of bikes passing through, and the regular randomness of seriously cool rides. If I could make the weekend of the Vintage rally, it'd stoke me to hopefully make Vintage Days at Barber later in the year. |

Scanned their reso's just now- cabins 1-8 available, Lodge 1-3 rooms also. Mike, are you sure about those dates? Might be time to lock some things in if you're right! Weather and work have conspired to keep me from riding the Beemer lately, even with 50, almost 60 degree temps, dangit. |

Brad,Jenni gave me the dates over the phone this afternoon. If you look here: http://twowheelsofsuches.com/events/action~month/e xact_date~1522555200/request_format~html/ you'll see the events calendar with the same dates listed. Are you saying you want to do the Buell event the same weekend as the Vintage/Legends rally?Last year it was hard to get a meal there was so many people there. |

Depending on our numbers, I can probably do fine feeding our group- hotdogs and hobo packs, that's my line of biz. Just give me a good campfire. I can pack it all in on the R75. Let's discuss and plan! |

I'm confused. Is the first weekend in April the weekend of March 30, 31 and April 1. or is it April 6, 7 & 8? last year, Glitch badness was March 31 and April 1 & 2. As I recall, the weather was pretty nice. (Message edited by Crusty on January 23, 2018) |

Where is this ? What!? You don't know!!? Have you been under a rock!? Just kidding! It's the campground in Suches Georgia. It's for Two Wheels Only which was the original name. New owners but still my favorite MC campground. Definitely worth checking out, besides, you can get there from 3 directions and they all make you ride over a mountain! |

The only input on a date we have so far is from Brad.My thoughts were that the Legends/Vintage weekend (4-14 & 4-15) would not be the best choice because of how crowded/noisy it would be.Our numbers in the past have been small and we wouldn't add that much to whatever weekend we choose.I didn't mention before but there is nothing on the calendar in March.Where is Matthew, why haven't we heard from you and what thoughts do the rest of you have?I need to call Jenni soon and put something down on the calendar. |

Lurking... was trying to go to a Spyder meet up at the Dragon in April but I'll prioritize around that. I think I'll camp this year, since Gretchen opted out the last 2 years in a row, there's no reason for me to get a room. Let's see what dates people want and go from there. I'm fairly flexible. |

Personally, one of the biggest draws for staying at TWoS is seeing all the old/new/weird/custom/et cetera bikes roll in, all the cool peeps. And yes, unless Jenni and Bill double-staff on certain weekends, they'll be weeded in the kitchen. If I dragged out all my camping kit, that'd be fine, but for the $$$ I'm happy to split a room upstairs. Mike, did it seem overrun for those events last time? The more the merrier, I say, especially vintage bikes. I expect that the high percentage of old bike riders won't be squids... |

What weekend is the Spyder meet? Brad, there was more attendance that weekend than I have ever seen at Two Wheels outside of the 50cc rally in 18 years of going there every weekend. There were bikes lined up all the way down the gravel drive to the bridge that runs across the creek, there were bikes parked on the road and the car parking lot was full, both days.I can see the appeal of seeing all those bikes but then I do anyway.I tend to forget that you guys that live some distance away and/or work for a living can't make it here for every event that you'd like to attend. If ya'll want to do it that weekend I'll let Jenni know, but I'd like more input than just Brad. |

"I tend to forget that you guys that live some distance away and/or work for a living can't make it here for every event that you'd like to attend." Bingo! While I've still got high hopes of making Vintage Days later this year at Barber, it's easier and more economical to kill a weekend at TWoS any day. Mike- is anyone maintaining an online reference/schedule for the Legends/Vintage event? I do loves me some classic 2 wheelers... |

I'm liking early April. I enjoy seeing the vintage bikes but really like riding uncrowded roads! Don't get me wrong, I loved my dad's R69 BMW but I wouldn't want to follow him over Wolf Pen Gap! |

" Mike- is anyone maintaining an online reference/schedule for the Legends/Vintage event? " No,this is more off the cuff and not a highly organised event like Barber. |

Spyder meetup is April 27-29... Not sure I can do both. If we get our act together I'll definitely come see my Buellers over crawling around in the Spyder. |

The Legends weekend is the 14th and 15th of April, does that qualify as early April Greg,is that your vote? |

So, "off the cuff"... no Faceplant page or nuttin'? How many years so far have they put on the Legends shindig? Surely Bill and the TWoS staff would push 150% to make that a blowout $$$ for the property... roast a whole hog, have us a time!!! Greg, +1: riding uncrowded roads is preferable to getting stuck behind a road couch or dodging squids, but, a good time also could be had by catching up with some old timer on an old time machine and dicing up Richard Russell or 129!!! |

I'm going to be at the Atlanta Short Track the night of April 7. If the rally is that weekend, I'll miss most of Saturday, but I'll still be there for Friday and Sunday. If it's the week before or after, I could be there for the whole thing. I guess that what I'm saying is that it doesn't matter to me which weekend it is. As long as I can get at least one meal at Jim's Smokin' Que, I'll be happy. |

It started last year. They don't promote any event, they leave that to the people or organization that put them on.Most events are put on by dealerships or local/state brand affiliated motorcycle groups.TWOS promotes itself through the webpage and facebook page. The Legends event is put on by a cat named Russ or (Bloke),who has a business buying and selling vintage and more modern bikes. He my have a Facebook page,I don't know,I'm not on there.I do know that last year the only promotion I heard about for this event was basically word of mouth and through discussion forums. |

Is "Legends" the same 2/3 scale circle-track cars? Like little Deuce Coupes? |
