Lost a driver today.

This guy was the embodiment of the American dream.

Escaped from the Congo, vicious warlords, all that great shit going on over in Africa. Made it here to the USA and worked in just about every kind of job until he ends up driving for me the last few years.

Always a smile on his face. Kind words. Work HARD AS HELL day in and day out.

Adakunle Babatunde, you will be missed.

Man that sucks!!
I was at a funeral for my best friends dad and a visitation for another friends dad.

The suit was more fun when I needed it for weddings!

What happened Matt?

Dude- my prayers and condolences to you, and the good man's friends and family. If possible, fill us in on what happened, maybe more about him, so we can be mindful and prayerful for you all.

If you take the time to listen, people can have AMAZING life stories.

Sure some countries are "shitholes" but the vast majority of the people are usually not the problem. He sounded like a quality human, sorry you lost your buddy: (

I've always found it one of life's crudest and cruelish jokes that many of the people that have survived some of the most difficult and dire circumstances are often lost to something trivial.

It's sounding like it may have been a heart attack... the coroner has him now.

He sounds a lot like an African cab driver I met in New York City. His name was Mohammed and he was a taxi driver for six months and then he worked as a merchant marine for six months. Hearing him speak the Queen's English was entertaining! He had some great stories just wish our ride was a little longer!

When you talk to people like that it makes most of our problems seem trivial.

Sad to hear. I've seen too many, too young taken in the past couple of years. Condolences to his loved ones.

We have a lot of Ghana natives here... they're a stoic people who have a rich heritage, and ALL of them are proud to be Americans.

They love it here, and I love having them here.
