Arguments about saving kids disingenuous? Not yours, no. But the line "for the children" is a clue that usually that argument is. I'm an old school feminist. I'm going to argue that women should have equal rights. ( while knowing women are the betters of man in many ways ) I also hold doors for women, the disabled, elderly, & guys with their arms full. It used to be called courtesy. When feminazis curse me for holding the door it hurts my feelings. ( mostly because it's so rare I can let it slam in their face ) I'm well aware of the hypocrisy of the me too movement folk that refuse to condemn rape cultures because the Leftist leaders imagine they can use obedient Islam to destroy western civilization to rule us like Mao or Putin. Bill Clinton could exploit women who worked for him with no shame because he was pro abortion. Editorial on how women should be lining up to give him oral sex in gratitude was not thought improper by his followers. Barry Obama's support for the gang rapist using Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt tells you all you need to know about a regime that used women as disposable mouth pieces to spread lies, but never as social equals in a game of golf. ( rumors that golf was just cover for sex outside the White House may be a reason for this never mentioned by CNN peculiarity. We await the next generation of tell all books ) Of course we all remember the " binders full of women" as the stupidest attack line in political history. Mostly because it revealed the bias of the media and the stupidity of the Obama voters. It worked. How deliberately stupid do you have to be for that line to work? Now we know. | ||

Airbozo, Your premise is false. "Imagine if there was no abortion, how many more people would be homeless, living in poverty and collecting even more welfare and public assistance." Before 1973, abortion was illegal in large swaths of America, and it remains illegal in Ireland to this day. The situation you fear is not on record in either case. And I think it would be tough to find many folks who wish they were never born. Some maybe, but few of the 1 million aborted every year. (Message edited by Blake on December 29, 2017) | ||

It would be considered mean of me to note that abortion often is the choice of people we don't want to raise children anyway. And probably not a true statement. Legal or not Abortion has been a fact of life since before the Bronze Age. It is much preferable to have pregnancy preventing technology, IMHO, although some here have pointed out moral issues with some of them. Not going to argue the matter here, But I will opine that hypocrisy is worth puncturing ( a deliberate sexual comment ) where ever, and who ever, spouts it. And The Pulitzer Prize for Journalism...  | ||

Even if it were a true premise, the solution, as usual for progressives, is all f(*&^d up. Does it really make sense to kill an unborn baby on the fear that it may grow up unwilling/unable to support itself? If that doesn't seem insane to you, then I would have to question your sanity. If you really feel the need to go down such a path, doesn't it make much more sense to wait until they actually prove themselves to be unwilling/unable to support themselves first? Of course, most progressives are against capital punishment, even for the worst of criminals. I seriously doubt they would support it for something as mundane as becoming homeless. They do support it for being unborn though. Just imagine the evils that those unborn might commit! Sure... That's sane thinking! | ||
