I'm jealous, Jim. I love snow - if it's gonna be cold, snow makes it worthwhile as far as I'm concerned. Long as folks stay safe and warm...bring it!

4” of snow here in SC ~50 miles from the coast. We generally get a sprinkling every 4 or 5 years and a big snow every 15 or so.

Spent my lunch with a roof rake and cleaning up what amounted to only 1/4 of the roof. BTW, it's about 1F outside right now. Have to get back at it after work and get as much of the rest as I can before it rains on Monday. |

Doesn't look that bad from here on the back porch . . . . .
But . . .after a month of enjoying this . . . I land back in NYC and the predicted temp is to be -12F. Then to South Bend, IN the next day where I am certain it's not much warmer.

Greg e: Get a roll of Visqueen. One end on the roof peak, the other over the edge. Shovel the snow onto it. The stuff will slide down, seemingly faster than gravity could take it.
