One of the items on my Christmas Wish List was a DVD copy of "Charge," the documentary about the first electric TT held at the Isle of Man. Featured was the late Michael Czysz, his shaky first appearance and his utter domination of the event afterward.

It's a good movie and although it was finished before his untimely passing (in fact, it's not even mentioned) you get a real sense of what the electric motorcycle community lost with his untimely passing. It's a shame the company did not continue on with his vision. Guess he's the modern "John Britten" in the electric racing world.

Jaimec, thanks for posting. If I can remember one evening after work, I'll see about pulling that up on the smart-aiss Teevee to watch.

I'd love to get an electric MC of some sort, ideally with offroad capability. Set up at a nice campsite out in the sticks, but with a proper plug-in spot, head out and roll some trails! I've got TONS of great places nearby to do just that...

If you watch it, check out THIS guy:

He is living proof that you can't judge a book by its cover. Bad teeth and an aversion to footwear would have you think he's just some homeless hobo, but nothing could be farther from the truth!

I didn't even know Michael Czysz passed!
A few years back I watched the doc about his V-4 Moto GP bike and was very impressed by the man. What a terrible loss.

Thanks for posting that.

Michael was also a fellow BadWebber. His handle was "Motoczysz."

I just rewatched "Birth of a Racer." Damn shame he never got to race the C1. The "Conspiracy Theorist" in me says Dorna got wind of it, and changed the rules to protect their existing factories.
