It's certainly much more entertaining. It's been kind of dull since Nixon. Iran-Contra was a bit of a dud.
Looks like Flynn rolled over which is hardly surprising. He'll probably take the whole damned bunch down and then maybe the country can start to get back to normal.

I could imagine working in H.R. for some corporation. When it came to hiring upper management personnel, I could see having to hire someone I didn't like to get a job done. No, I am not delusional enough to think H.R. makes choices of CEOs being hired. I do believe that is what happened last election.

I don't think I'd have to bite my tongue as badly this year as last if allowed to dine at the Whitehouse.

It was pretty obvious President Trump was trolling Elizabeth Warren.

It worked. Bigly.

Why?

The CFPB, a massive, powerful government agency specifically created to exist with no oversight from Congress, including receiving its funding from the FED.

And from who's womb did the CFPB spring (like that scene in the movie "Alien"?)

Pocahontas.

quote:

Lou Dobbs Interviews OMB/CFPB Director Mick Mulvaney
November 30, 2017

Director Mick Mulvaney appears on Fox Business News to discuss the ongoing tax reform efforts along with ongoing revelations within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

https://youtu.be/1E7CZWr0jBM

I don’t often do this, but there’s two really insightful articles, written by Ronald Rubin -who was there at the start of the bureau- about the CFPB, that deserve to be read by anyone looking to understand the organization and the left-wing constructs within it.

Here’s the two articles that deserve to be read. The first one might blow your mind:

#1: Conceived as a government watchdog, with aims to financially fill the coffers of left-wing activist organizations, the CFPB was doomed by an Elizabeth Warren structure that made it an inherently political agency. READ HERE

#2: The sad and sick joke – how the CFPB’s first director falsely claimed caring about consumers, but the reality was entirely political. READ HERE

Immediately upon taking control within the CFPB Director Mick Mulvaney:

- Immediately shut down any further hiring and expansion for 30 days.

- Immediately froze any new rules and regulations being implemented.

- And most importantly, stopped any further payments from the CFPB to left-wing political activist groups.

https://youtu.be/e-f8Pnik5hA

The CFPB was essentially created to work as a legal money laundering operation for progressive causes by fining financial institutions for conduct the CFPB finds in violation of their unilateral and arbitrary rules and regulations. The CFPB then use the proceeds from the fines to fund progressive organizations and causes. That’s the underlying reason why the Democrats are fraught with anxiety right now.

Elizabeth Warren set up the bureau to operate above any oversight. Additionally, the bureau was placed under spending authority of the Federal Reserve. The CFPB gets its operating budget from the Federal Reserve, not from Congress. Again, this was set-up to keep Congress from defunding the agency as a way to remove it.

Everything about the way the CFPB was structured was done to avoid any oversight. Hence, a DC circuit court finding the agency held too much power, and deemed the Director's unchecked position unconstitutional.

Mick Mulvaney is now in a position to look at the books, look at the prior records within the bureau, and expose the political agenda within it to the larger public. That is sending the progressives bananas.

Most likely President Trump will not appoint a replacement until Mulvaney has exposed the corruption within the bureau. That sunlight is toxic to Elizabeth Warren and can potentially be politically destructive to the Democrats. If the secrets within the bureau are revealed, there’s a much greater likelihood the bureau will be dissolved.

There are billions of scheme and graft dollars at stake. Within the record-keeping there are more than likely dozens of progressive/Democrat organizations being financed by this secret enterprise that operates without oversight. That’s the risk to the SWAMP.

Stu Varney on Fox Business News has covered the CFPB crap quite a bit lately. One problem he points out, is that they can pretty much make up their rules for the banks as they wish, and fine a bank for their past behavior of breaking those rules. An even bigger problem, is that the banks have no path to review/overturn a judgement.

For those who are not up to speed on this, one of the issues is that the CFPB decided that banks were charging higher interest rates to people's auto loans when their name "sounded black". Of course, there are no laws or guidelines to regulate rates based on how your name sounds. Basically, there's no way to avoid being accused, and once accused, you are guilty, with no opportunity for review. BTW, the money from the fines was funneled into left wing political groups. Tyranny at it's finest!

One question I have about Kate's killers trial:

He was convicted of "possession of a firearm by a felon".

How is that, if the jury "didn't know" his history??

Sounds to me like the jury was just as political and left-wing as the city of San Francisco. They knew. And they didn't care enough to do the right thing.

I hope the Steinle family takes San Fran and all its sanctuary proponents to the cleaners in their civil suit.

Just Federal laws, or State, too?

Hmm...well, Sanctuary cities are all about thwarting federal mandates in the name of upholding "local" rulings, so my initial thought about firearms and sidearms here in Maryland would do me no good, since the federal law (i.e. the 2nd Amendment) says I have the right to bear arms, but the state rulings lean far to the left...

Although...I wonder if the same argument could apply. In the words of Adam Savage (Mythbusters): "I reject your reality and substitute my own!". Amend that to "I reject the state's ruling and substitute Federal law"...I wonder how that would work out...

It's not like federal funding is at stake for me or anything...just the right to protect my person and property...

It is standard procedure that the jury isn't told that the defendant has been convicted of crimes previously. How the prosecutor deals with possession by a felon, I don't know, but there must be a commonly accepted way it is presented.

I guess if he'd been found guilty, the judge would have taken this history into account when he sentenced him.

I just read a little about the case, and it's understandable he wasn't convicted for 1st or 2nd degree murder, but how he was acquitted on an involuntary manslaughter charge is beyond me. He allegedly "found" the piston and acknowledges he fired it. The bullet ricocheted off the pavement, hit her in the neck, and severed her aorta. To be found guilty of murder, they'd have to convince the jury there is no doubt he intentionally shot at Kate with the intention of killing her, which would be a very tough sell. I just don't understand how what he did doesn't meet the bar for manslaughter.

How he was found guilty of illegally possessing the gun, admitting to firing it though unintentionally, but then found not guilty of negligent homicide is likely due to incompetent prosecution.

Incompetent prosecution is a real problem in America, and I'd not be surprised if it's not sometimes intentional.

TOP Mueller FBI Investigator Fired For Anti-Trump Bias – WaPo Attempts Proactive Intel Defense Ahead of Details Reaching Congress
December 2nd, 2017

Those who have traveled the deep weeds will know the Washington Post is the primary and historic defense media for the Intelligence Community (IC). That backdrop is CRITICAL to understanding this story.

The Washington Post is quick to the presses ahead of congressional intelligence committees discovering the specific content of communication between the lead FBI agent on Robert Mueller's team… that led to an Inspector General investigation… that led to Mueller firing the top FBI agent from the team.

Again, for EMPHASIS, this Washington Post report is specifically trying to get out ahead of the story to defend Mueller and the FBI.

FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok (above left), was the deputy head of counterintelligence at the FBI. He was the tip-of-the-spear in the Clinton email investigation assigned by James Comey. FBI Agent Strzok was part of a very small special team, called the “skinny team”, tasked with investigating Hillary Clinton. Agent Peter Strzok was one of the few people who actually interviewed Hillary Clinton.

Additionally, this year agent Peter Strzok was personally selected by Special Counsel Robert Mueller to be the TOP FBI AGENT in charge of the investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian collusion conspiracy.

However, as a direct outcome of an Inspector General investigation into Peter Strzok, it is just coming to light that text messages and written communication between Strzok and an FBI lawyer named Lisa Page will show a strong bias to clear Clinton and against Trump.

Behind the communication, Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page were having an affair. Strzok and Page communicated with each other about their disdain and hatred for Donald Trump while they were key members of the Muller investigative team.

A few observations on the General Flynn plea deal:

Here are the key documents. READ them all. 99% of people won't & remain ignorant about what's happening here:

https://www.justice.gov/sco

Ignore the predictable TDS hysteria. Read Andrew McCarthy's article, as always a voice of calm objectivity:

quote:

What the Flynn Plea Means
Michael Flynn's guilty plea is less newsworthy than it's being made to seem by the mainstream media...

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/454269/micha el-flynn-plea-no-breakthrough-russia-investigation

Important: Notice that there are NO charges in relation to FARA / lobbying crimes.

The plea offenses are known as 'process crimes,' in other words, non-compliance with the technicalities of being in an incoming transition.

In return for the plea, Flynn will FULLY CO-OPERATE with Mueller's SC. That's what this is all about. And it's not heading in the direction of the Clinton/DNC Trump-Russia lie, that much is certain.

To recap: In January 2017, General Flynn didn't tell the truth to Jim Comey & Andrew McCabe's clownshow of an FBI, about meeting the Russian ambassador.

Thank God he didn't.

To clarify, an incoming administration communicating with foreign states, while a lame duck POTUS runs out his or her term, is commonplace & happens all the time.

However, the FBI under Comey & McCabe was a corrupted organization, which Flynn knew well. IMO he did the RIGHT thing not telling them about the communications with the Russian ambassador. It would have been leaked, with the intent of bringing down Trump.

In reality, Flynn was used in a scheme cooked up by Sally Yates, Jim Comey and Bill Priestap (WH Counsel) as part of their attempt to bring down president-elect Trump.

They used unmasked intel under a FISA warrant (probably based on the Fusion GPS dossier) to ID Flynn and then leaked it to WaPo, a crime.

Yates & Priestap also tried to ambush Trump by saying they warned him about Flynn.

It didn't work. Trump was inaugurated.

Trump likely became fully aware of what they did in February, but definitely by at least May 8, 2017:

quote:

"Ask Sally Yates, under oath, if she knows how classified information got into the newspapers soon after she explained it to W.H. Counsel." -- Donald J. Trump, May 8th, 2017

^ https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/8615924 20043157504

BTW - It wouldn't surprise me if he & Flynn knew exactly what was going on as it happened.

After his 'resignation' Flynn offered to tell his 'story' in a public Congressional hearing, in exchange for immunity. This was denied. The last thing those snakes wanted was for Flynn to reveal all on live television.

General Flynn knows everything about 0bama & Clinton. That's because he was the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, serving from July 2012 to his retirement from the military in August 2014.

Before that he was a master spook, entrusted with special intelligence missions that none of us are privy to. He had 33 years in the military & intel services, and would have an extensive network of IC patriots, as well.

Flynn's record is absolutely superb. Which is why 0bama, despite his hatred of Flynn, had no option but to renew his full security classification clearance - in January 2016.

Mueller was appointed SC in May, 2017. Since then, Flynn would have been providing information to Mueller via his lawyers, and also sharing it with Trump's lawyers.

This plea deal allows Flynn to provide testimony under oath, as well as 24/7 'assistance,' to Mueller about EVERYTHING he knows. But it won't be about the Drumpf-Russia lie. It will be about other things.

About Yates, Comey & Priestap.

About 0bama.

About the Clintons.

Much like George Papadopoulos will be revealing all to Mueller, as well, about his role in Hillary Clinton's failed GPS dossier.

And like Tony Podesta, who is singing like a canary to Mueller right now.

Ignore the crowing of the hysterical MSM today. They have been consistently wrong about everything, because they are basing it all on the Trump-Russia lie.

They are 100% wrong on this, too.

The reality? Hillary Clinton & Barack 0bama, as well as their stooges, will be TERRIFIED of this development. @GenFlynn knows exactly what he's doing - and always has.

Once this is done, Flynn will be acclaimed as one of America's greatest patriots and heroes. Guaranteed.

Remember these words from General Flynn's lawyers in March, 2017:

quote:

"General Flynn certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it, should the circumstances permit."

The circumstances now permit.

It would have been leaked, with the intent of bringing down Trump.

That's going to be quite the reveal. Totally legitimate reason to "lie" to the FBI, and even your boss. It attacks the morals and legitimacy of the prosecution and combined with public and leaked statements from the Special Inquisitor's staff, makes a solid public relations move, as well as legal one.

If you guys haven't figured it out by now, there is a simple rule to follow. Don't talk to the feds. Period.

Scooter, Martha Stewart, this whole "investigation" has given us a dire history of prosecutors using insane logic and intimidation to hurt political enemies... although exactly how Martha fits in I forget. ( Fame! )
