I would have no objections to a Gay President, as long as his loyalties are to America and not his group. The same objections were raised by opponents of JFK, who feared he would be Catholic first and American second. It's a fundamental part of identity politics. My willingness to vote for a Gay candidate is independent of their "gayness". I want the best person for the job and what they do with consenting adults is their business. In other words, "Gay, but no one cares". How to explain my lack of enthusiasm for alleged gay candidates Barack and Hillary? I didn't want them no matter how gay they are. Fair works both ways. Happy to have a gay/woman/black/etc. President. Just not a communist dishonest corrupt whatever. But... Closeted politicians are a bad choice. They are too prone to blackmail. Living a lie makes dishonesty a default choice. See Hillary and her easily proven lies about her greatness. Her being named after a famous mountain climber who got famous years after she was born, imaginary sniper fire, etc. Of course in Hillary's case she's been a pathological liar independent of her alleged sexuality. Her default setting is lie. Barack? Since tell all book writers have allegedly a reason to fear for their lives on this subject, we may have to wait for him to pass from the public into the afterlife or prison to find out. But if the rumours from the Chicago bath houses are true, it's a certainty that Vladimir and China have blackmail material. If they've already used it or not is a good question we won't get answered for quite a while. | ||

Identity politics is nothing but quotas run amok. Don't hire an employee based on their skin color or gender. Hire them for one reason: CAN THEY DO THE JOB??? If not? No hire. Or election. Or whatever. If yes? Then nobody should give a rat's ass about gender or background or preference. As long as it doesn't affect DOING THEIR JOB, it just...doesn't...MATTER. | ||

I agree. But that is not how Obama got elected. The exact opposite. Let us assume, for a moment, the rumours are true and Barry is a gay man, passing as straight to get elected. ( in a sexually prejudiced world, almost a necessity ) Then he's a major security risk, since the Russians have a Long history of using prostitutes to inform and blackmail Western tourists. Cheating on your wife is good, as far as they care. Being a closeted gay? Platinum! Many would do Anything to keep from being outed. Kevin Spacey doesn't count, since he was outed years ago, making his BS Distraction Defense a bad joke to begin with. | ||

I remember when the new Senator BO from IL, a virtual unknown, was given a speech to read (was it in response to the State of the Union, I really don't recall that detail), and it was hugely praised, and started the talk of BO being the next POTUS. Having just watched the corruption that placed BO in the Senate seat, it was pretty amazing to watch this unfold. Why is any of this history important? I just touched on that in the Hillary thread. It's the ongoing corruption of the DNC. It didn't start with BO's Presidential run. It certainly hasn't ended with Hillary's failed Presidential run. It's said all too often, but it's true. Ignore history, and repeat history. Frankly, I'm more and more convinced that the Democrat voters have no problems with this corruption. That's based on face to face discussions with liberals about this corruption. They actually embrace it. | ||

Multiple people at a local diner reported back in 2007, that a stranger came in, ordered coffee, then sat for over an hour at the open phone booth, ( country diner, I've had breakfast there ) making campaign contributions to Obama. With a literal pile of credit cards. Max individual limits, Bing bing bing. Clear case of money laundering. Quickly ignored and suppressed. Obama's campaign turning off the legally mandated tracking on credit card donations, then collecting $45 million from Syria. However the t shirt sales department still collected the data. That's right. It was more work to buy a t shirt than to illegally donate from a terrorist country. The list of examples is endless. | ||
