I don't think I've ever been above 120. My speedometer has always had the mfg's 10% error so more like 108 to 110 mph. I was on asphalt with modern radial tires. 136 mph on the beach running 1907 tire technology. My hat is off to the incredible Glenn Curtis.

That's the approximate top speed of an S1 Lightning circa 1996.

My DR is geared to top out at 100mph. That's enough.

The next planned purchase tops out at roughly ~155...though I'll likely never get there.

These days just not getting ran over is proving tougher and tougher in this area.
