Crapola. Lots of pain in his future... hopefully a proper recovery. It won't be speedy.

At any rate, Godspeed to his return to health.

I went to see Joe today and found him in good spirits. They were x-raying his left foot again thinking they might have to put a pin and a couple of bolts in.I should know more later.

Good spirits, but it'll be hell to cough, laugh, etc. for a while. Keep us posted, brother.

I spoke with him this morning and he is still in pain but is improving. His biggest problem is getting up out of the recliner he's sleeping and spending all his time in.
Access to his cabin is a problem, you have to go down a hill, then up mabye 8 or 10 steps to get in the building and that's the easy way,so he is stuck in the house until his doctors appointment next week.

Yeesh- been there, done that, no fun. Hopefully he's got a few massage & heat thingy gadgets for his shoulders/back/etc., things like that should help.

Minimal laughing, certainly no coughing. Here at my house we're both getting over head/chest colds- my honey would have offed herself already with all the coughing she's dealing with, if she had cracked or broken ribs.

Thanks Mike, for the update.

"Fisherman's Friend" original tastes nasty but numbs the throat and helps stop a cough.
