Well, damn. In his recent posts on Facebook, he mentioned he'd gotten another Buell (an XB12Ss) and was looking forward to riding. Jim had had a hard time. He had a kidney transplant many years ago; that had to be removed when his body rejected it about 5 years ago IIRC. Then he had that huge issue earlier this year when he was in a coma for a week or two. A very nice guy and the only guy I ever met with balls enough to try to stay up with Erik Buell on a motorcycle - the infamous "ditch digger" incident at March Badness III. What a time that was! RIP Jim. | ||

Oh man, so sad to hear of Jim's passing. I had a nice chat with him several weeks ago and was trying to line up a short visit. Damn, he sounded pretty good but said he was still weak. Prayers for Tonya and family. This is really hard to take in. | ||

Tonya will be meeting with the funeral home tomorrow to plan Jim's service. Once she contacts me with the details I'll post up here. Thanks to everyone from Tonya. Even though Jim has been sick most of their marriage, she's lost without him. I can't even imagine her pain. Rest in peace Jim. Know that your Buell family loved you more than you'll ever know.. | ||
