Per this, Indian was the US Vincent distributor for a time, so there is a connection:

Somewhere I swear I saw a Harley engine with two rear heads turned 180 degrees so the intake was on the left and the exhaust was on the right allowing for the two beautiful exhaust pipes to radius out just like a real Vincent. Anybody else see this or was it in a dream!?

I must be thinking of the dirt track engine from harley. That would have the proper location for the pipes and intakes.

Tootal- I've seen a couple of Sportster-based bikes like that. You install 2 front heads on it. "Poor man's Vincent".

Here's a chopped Sporty with the arrangement:

I know I've seen a cafe Sportster set up like that but I can't find a pic. Apparently most folks just leave the cams where they are but re-time the back two cams appropriately for intake and exhaust. The cam profiles for exhaust and intake are close enough to work for either duty.

Back here in Australia a Melbourne company Irving Vincent has been developing a Vincent race bike which competed in the USA at the renowned Daytona Speed Week in Florida. The stakes would be raised considerably due to having never raced there before, let alone on “banked” corners, plus they’d be competing against the very latest in modern V-twin technology – including multiple World Superbike Manufacturer’s Champion, Ducati and world-class riders, the likes of multiple World Superbike Champion, Doug Polen. On top of all this, the event program only allowed for 12 laps of practice. It was an insane prospect, but one the brothers Horner grasped with both hands, building a purpose-built 1600cc, 165bhp, (123 kW) machine. What an objective!

What an outcome! Race 1 – 3rd place. Race 2 – 1st place and outright winner of the AHRMA ‘Battle of the Twins’ – March 4th 2008.

For the not so bright!
Staying alive.
Bg's were Australian. Australian bike manufacturer keeping Vincents alive.
Staying alive is more than buell was able to do.
No song for buell because they were never any good and nobody would waste their hard earned trying to resurrect their bad name.

All of the Gibb brothers were actually born in England, moved to Australia then returned to England in 1967.

There's an old Brit here in Longmont that has a beauty of a Black Shadow.
I get to see it once in a while.

This was while I was selling parts at the Harley shop.
