..great to see him up and conscience and perky lookin'....reminds me of when i was in the icu room back in February of last year dealing with my ruptured abdominal artery recovery. Then flash forward to November for the removal of my "lovely" collorectal cancer tumor and illiostpy and then back in there just before New Years to have it reversed....oh boy am i glad all of that is behind me and i'm cancer free......yeah, the Big Guy isn't done with me ,yet, expecially dodgin' those two huge "bullets"..stubborn ole cuss i is.Again so glad to see ya lookin' as you are.Congrats and may you continue to improve and get better and stronger. Funny how you see names, develop online relationships with faceless screenames and never really realize how close the community is until someone is in need.
The photo of Jim and Tonya, with the ear to ear grins, in the hospital bed made a lot of people's day brighter. |

Years ago, I developed a slow upper GI bleed that didn't show until about 4 days later, when I re-enacted a scene from the Exorcist... had to have over half my blood supply pumped back in, "fresh" of course...
Yeah, I DON'T dig spending time in a hospital. Prayers up again, today, that Jim gets the heck outta there ASAP. |

Rainey is being discharged today!!!!
He will have some follow-ups appointments in Chapel Hill for his lungs in the near future! Considering how grim things looked just more than a week ago, I say this is a huge victory!! |

Hey guys and gals!!!!!!
Thought I'd take a moment to just simply say thank you. I honestly have lost the month of June, the first 6 of this ordeal gone completely to the wind. The drugs the ICU had me had a very blurry line betweeen reality and the last seconds before throwing in the towel. I had hallucinations that will take days to explain. One thing I know is there was always a halo around those who walked into my room, that may have been the difference. BadWeb has always been supportive of myself and my family, as well as any person in need, and that alone is one of the many reasons I will always as active as time allows. I'd like to say thank you to everyone, Thank You
On another silly side note, it's ironic that the Blue donor bike in the pictures above that we took the parts "off" of, is now one of the Buells parked in the shop!!!! Slightly massaged by some goodies from KD Fab though!!!!

Great news! Jim, see about keeping a journal, just a pen and pad, to jot down what happened to your mind... I used to keep a journal, but, life and the interwebz happened. There's something about just writing longhand that is immensely satisfying. Except for me, as my penmanship is super-crappy. Nobody but me can read my handwriting- it's like the Apache code writers back in wartime.
Man, it is great to hear you're home. Get healthy, strong, and back on a bike- mebbe we'll have a Euphorious Glitchfest soon!! |
