Alright, I just got back from my nephews grad party in Dallas, and the forecast looks good. I'll be attending homecoming Wed Thursday and going home Friday. I'll book my campsite at 2 creeks tonight and meet you all at Gus' sometime Wednesday. Ourdee: have the EBR folk save me a hot dog (or whatever they're grilling.) I don't think I'll have enough to buy the Black Lightning, but I plan to check out the sale and auction just to find out if the company as a going entity got any bidders. I hope they do. | ||

Oops!, turns out I want COUNTRY VIEW campground! I figured out it was the wrong campground once I found the pamphlet from my pile of motorcycle brochures stuff. I think this other one was given to me at the Donnie Smith show. The other place looks interesting, but nowhere near East Troy. | ||

Got a ride in this afternoon. Brankin translates signs a little differently. Fitting as Buells are different in every way. Very fun ride. Weather, Wisconsin country side, and friends what more could you ask today? They dropped me off at Gus's diner to man the Buell table. I do not think it will get busy till after 6:00. It is sunny, 73 degrees with a light wind. | ||

Went for a fine ride out through the Wisconsin country side this afternoon. Had a most enjoyable journey with Mr. Brankin leading according to his interpretation of the local signs. At 73 degrees with a light breeze and plenty of sunshine you couldn't ask for more. The group brought me back by Gus's diner and dropped me off to man the Buell table. I do not really expect anyone else till after 6:00 this evening. | ||

Hey all, Glad to meet up with Ourdee, Odd, Twirlin, Devin, Save_ferris, Jill, 1313, and my son Don was riding with me on his 2000 X1 Lightning last night. Me on the S2T which, by the way, turned over 30,000 miles last night...  I like the photo above. Is that where you are staying Ourdee? Intention is to meet up with Loose1, Zack4mac, Rpm4x4 tonight. Where will you guys be at around 6pm?  | ||

I have been watching this thread and drooling enviously over this HC. I made it in '07 and in '10. This has been in my back up planning in my mind to which if it could happen I would be there. I know you'all will have a great time. Keep us posted! | ||

Change in plans. After doing my pre trip check this morning before packing the bike, I determined a new front tire was in order before I left town. ( riding on bald tires is downright dangerous if it should rain. And it always does on a road trip.) A tire was no problem, but brake pads were another story, I had to run to 3 shops before I found a set. SPHD is a bit off the path for me. SO long story short rather than pack the tent and camping gear I reserved a blocked room at the Quality Inn, and will travel like a big shot. It also will allow me a much needed shower before I turn in. Departing Twin Cities shortly, arrival around dark. If I don't catch up with anyone tonight, I'll see you all tomorrow morning at EBR. | ||
