Looks to be time to start a thread showing the tactics of the Democrats, Left, Progressives, Democratic Socialists, or what ever they will want to call themselves by next week. Wasn't it Michelle Obama, not very long ago, speaking of the need for bleeding and dying to accomplish their goals? Looks like that talk is being put into action. I do take notice that so far the seem to be happy to have their riots in gun free zones. I guess to this point, they want to do their best to make sure that their victims have limited ability to protect themselves. These tactics won't work on a larger scale. Full face motorcycle helmet and walking stick plus good riding armor is going to be the new all the gear all the time. Or if you want armor good for hammering through a group of rioters, come on up and we'll build some for you. My gear is 14th century transitional plate but "Mad Max" style stuff that actually works isn't that hard. My armor rests on a stand in my living room. Great for visiting proselytizers. "Yes, that's real. Yes it's mine. Yes, it's heavy. Here, try on this articulated arm harness. Wait, I thought we were going to discuss religious persecution and the Church's attack on the Masonic orders during the...... ok.... bye....." I would never suggest any unlawful actions. This is far more organized than some grass roots thugs looking to cause trouble, as we have been told this "minority" of thugs are. When the police are saying they were told to stand down while rioters beat others who showed up for a legal political speech, there are deep problems in our nation. I'm predicting much more blood in our streets. I haven't seen police in any of the videos of the riot I've seen. I hate to say it, but it's time to arm up. Don't be afraid of not needing those arms when you go out. Be afraid of being caught in this crap without being armed. | ||

That's exactly what they're trying to accomplish. They know they're not going to overthrow the government with a bunch of punk kids - unless they can use those punk kids as pawns to create sympathizers and sway the mass base/ public's opinion that the government is evil and needs overthrown. The answer is careful and rigid application of LEO's. And responsible citizens who are willing to stand up to these #%$clowns. I'm all for that. The answer is careful and rigid application of LEO's. While I agree, keep in mind, in this case at least, the LEOs appear to have been given orders to pull back and let the fighting happen. I wonder if the Antifa folks knew this was going to be the case going in. It simply stretched the imagination beyond the breaking point that any credible police force would be caught off guard by this sort of thing, and not lift a finger to gain some sort of control. Don't kid yourself for a second. We are watching a low level civil war breaking out in our country. Battle lines are being drawn. Many local governments are not on the side of the Constitution. They rail on and on about the evils of large corporations but will blindly give their money and their freedoms and rights over to big government. Oh there are folk on the opposite side of the political equation that are just as blind. It was a lot harder to see these people before the "Alt-Right" was created to be a Goblin To Be Hated by the Left, but they, the few, the loud, the almost extinct Right-Wing Nut, flocking to the shiny promise of publicity and volunteered to be the face of The Opposition. As near as I can tell most of their followers are 'bots. Probably paid for by George Soros or Liz Warren. ( our Future First Native American President ) It's not like there aren't a lot of middle right folk that don't partially agree with the tiny minority "Alt-Right", even a stopped clock is right twice a day, ( If analog ) and OF COURSE I'm going to agree with anyone who tells the horrible truth about Hillary. And "Kill the all, God will Know His Own" is a classic, and occasionally workable, solution to the problems of a world where 2 1/2 religions have killed more people than Cancer. It sorta fails as a thoughtful policy most of the time, though. I don't want to live in the cyberpunk Corporations Rule world ( Think "Rollerball" ... the original ) any more than I want to live in Soviet New York.
