It's not just the press, and the bias...Hitler didn't use chemical weapons as a weapon of war, he used them to put people to death. There's a difference. Heck, we use gas chambers too...are we using chemical weapons in our "war on crime"? No, putting a criminal to death is not an act of war, nor is putting innocent people to death. It's immoral, and criminal, but it, in and of itself, it not an act of war. The difference is not subtle, but the two are conflated by Trump haters. So it wasn't that no one cared when Tingleberry said it, it was that no one artificially conflated the two things to generate faux outrage.

Thank you for that link, Alfau.

I'll show that to my buddy who was lore master for the region. I'm sure he can illuminate it for me. I'm sure your local fraternal order will, of course, if they are indeed the secret power behind it all, already know all about you. ; )

I find the editorial at my link above illuminating too.

Rural folk live with nature and know reality happens. This makes them pessimistic/realist. Wishing won't stop the blizzard or forest fire. Stuff happens beyond anyone's power to affect it. 10 feet of sandbags won't hold 13 feet of water no matter what the Mayor says.

Urban folk live in an artificial environment. They feel they can demand reality conform to their desires. Stuff happens because men make it so.

Rural folk know when it hits the fan only the non perishable food in the pantry will be there until after they've restored civilization.

Urban folk don't know the food is gone in three days....

He's still active, works each year to fix up the summer camp for children. He just gave up going to meetings all over the state daily. Never mentioned worshipping Santa. Or Satan. ; )

I do notice it's fine to openly hate the new First Lady but the old one who was never proud to be an American until her Husband won, and no longer does now that she's a billionaire was untouchable.

I also notice that Barry the Weasel claimed to want to stay in D.C. so his daughter could graduate from her exclusive private school...... then instead went to Tahiti to play with gazillionaires on their yachts. His rental in "I'm too rich for you" town is the hq for his communist revolutionary terrorist training camp minions of George Soros.

His daughter's school excuse btw is the one he cancelled the program letting common citizens into as nearly his first act as President. He may have sacrificed some orphans to Satan first.

The only Freemasons I know are simple folks. One retired from the line at a local union run brewery. The other is a longtime friend and college buddy; we worked offshore Brazil, the Persian Gulf, and multiple tours in the Gulf of Mexico.

Neither of them in any way fit the fanciful mold concocted by conspiracy nuts.

Who exactly is threatening NK that they have to defend themselves against? They are quite well protected by China. They have been the ones to break treaties to become a nuclear power and use that new found power to threaten others. As far as "starving" them, we give them plenty of food, most of which seems to disappear. While we do have trade restrictions on them, other major players, such as China (not sure about Russia) do not. Why are they starving? Why are people in Venezuela suddenly starving? It's a common problem with countries run by despots.

They're starving because they live in an environment that is not conducive to food production. Rather than engaging in trade, exporting manufactured goods, and importing food, like the South Koreans have, they choose to grow their own food, which they're not very good at. We are not starving them, their dear leader is.

Actually, I bet that the South Koreans on that same land would have much higher productivity. There's not that much terrain difference between N & S. ( it gets flatter towards the end of the peninsula ) the border is totally arbitrary and has nothing to do with geography or tribal borders.

Their Glorious Leader spent all the money on tanks and none on tractors.

One thing I will agree with Alfau on.

Sanctions don't work. In terms of human suffering, it would be better to bomb the Palaces, and play King maker with the Generals, than try and apply rational pressure to irrational people.

I bet they could. But the South Koreans import food because they can't grow enough internally. They have no self-defeating rules about growing their own food. They're not starving.

What fraternal order? The ancient and honorable frat house that is the Masons.

There's also the sorority version, the Eastern Star, and several other such groups.

IIRC my Father was an Elk. But only because in Kansas, at the time, you could only buy hard liquor in a Club, and as a salesman, a Traditional Fraternal Order Club was a much better place to have a drink after work than the "gentleman's club" down the street. Also a much better place for business contacts.

Which pretty much sums up the Modern Masons.

BTW, I am told the Illuminati was real, but shut down centuries ago..... But. Of Course They'd Say That, Wouldn't They? ; )

President Trump Awards Purple Heart To Army Sgt. Alvaro Barrietos At Walter Reed
By Sundance, 04/22/2017

Today President Trump, together with first lady Melania Trump, presented a Purple Heart medal to Army Sgt. 1st Class Alvaro Barrietos during a visit to Walter Reed National Medical Center.

The soldier who received the Purple Heart — awarded in the name of the president to military members wounded or killed while serving — is Army Sgt. 1st Class Alvaro Barrietos. Sgt. Barrietos suffered a serve leg injury while serving in Afghanistan. His wife, Tammy, attend the ceremony Saturday.

President Trump said that when he heard Barrietos would receive the medal he went to Walter Reed because, “I wanted to do this myself.” The medal is the oldest, continuous military award, dating back to 1917.

Yeah, the history of U.S. Presidents & The Draft, post Vietnam is interesting.

Donald, college deferments, then supposedly bone spurs, rated 1Y so he wasn't picked, but he didn't dodge. ( he was 300+ something on his list.... I was 8 )

Hillary, of course, is a female. ( her only credentials that aren't full of crap... ) So she was exempt.

George the Elder was too old, and besides that, did his duty in WW2 and was even shot down and almost captured by the Japanese before he was picked up by a submarine.

George the Younger went Air national Guard, and became a fighter pilot. As it happens it was a model, F-102, that was only used a short time in Vietnam, and had a fairly high death rate just flying around. ( and I could explain why, if you're interested ) He did get excused for his last months of service, as he went into politics.

( so, he was willing, he put his life on the line, never went to Vietnam, and HAS to be much smarter than most people believe, since there are no surviving dumb F-102 pilots. )

Bill Clinton is most interesting. http://www.1stcavmedic.com/bill-clinton-draft.htm

Used political favors to get out of his obligation, and lied, repeatedly, during the process, and always...after.

Now is Bill a Draft Dodger? Perhaps. Is he a paid agent of Red China? Yes. Collaborated with the KGB? Yes. Pathological liar? Absolutely, Like his wife, he lies about anything and everything to boost his image.

Hillary is actually worse, since she lies about insanely unimportant things, that are so easily checked. Like her very name. She claimed she was named after the Famous Sir Edmund Hillary. However that New Zealander was not famous when she was born, but a fairly obscure ex flying boat navigator in the War, and didn't start his Mountain Climbing fame until a year after she was born. ( and would be known only to a handful of people until 1953, Mountain climber fans, when Hillary was 6 )

Thus do the unworthy attempt to steal fame from their betters.

Hillary, of course, is a female.... So she was exempt.

Hmm. In this day of "women are men and men are less than women", IF the draft were to be reinstituted, should women be drafted?

Females with high and tights is becoming an annoying thing in the army, and it's often difficult to distinguish effeminate males from crossfit superdyke females. Granted, it's a very small percentage. MOST of the females in the army look like normal females.

My point is - only a small percentage of females are pushing this "women are men" ideology but the general public is buying into it, and are blindly making assumptions that, by their own sideways criteria, would require every common girl to serve as infantry soldiers in the event of compulsory military service.
I'm not against women in the military. I'm just against women being forced to die in service of their country. That curse is placed upon men, and I don't say that with a chip on my shoulder. No man (or woman) should ever force a woman to die for her country. While throughout history there are surely cases where heroic women are forced to, or voluntarily, defends her family or peers or country, it should not be the standard expectation, unless you're in a very, very bad way and there aren't enough men to soak up those bullets.

I too was raised in the tradition of "women and children first". It is the sane response to danger, to protect the future of your family, society, civilization and species.

Pick your level of responsibility, the philosophy applies across the board.

However, I have long been a rational women's Libber. Taking the great lesson from Stan Lee, "With great power comes great responsibility" I've long known that if women want to be equal members of society, not owned by their parents until the responsibility for their upkeep goes to their Husband, that the cold, hard truth of Freedom is the Responsibility to care for yourself.

This ability to see both sides of the equation has not endeared me to those who refuse to.

I don't want women to be drafted. It's a bad idea, from a species survival viewpoint.

I don't want ANYONE to be drafted. The Citizen Soldier Volunteer tradition of the U.S. has produced the finest warriors and the kindest, best saviors of the fallen the world has ever seen.

I also am proud, of our fellow Free Citizen Soldiers, from lands like England, Australia, and New Zealand. Not to ignore the Dutch, Norwegians....etc.

And I am equally proud of my Sisters in Arms, and support them as well.

I know many who were in combat in the Sandbox and Rockpile and while their MOS was other than Combat Infantrymen, the bullets didn't ignore them, nor did the mines, RPGs and EIDs they faced along with their Brothers.

I also support any women who wants to compete for a position in the combat branches. As a volunteer. Most will fail to meet the standards, and the standards must not be lowered to admit less than what is needed.

I should be able to assume any Female Marine Officer who has passed the Officer course did so with the same standards as their Brothers. And deserves the same, if not more respect. Ditto any branch & unit.

I too believe that volunteer soldiers are best. While I respect ALL who served in Vietnam, I know that there were many who were there simply because they HAD to be, and didn't give 2 $#!ts how they did their job. Compare that to those who WANTED to be there to serve their country.

Some places, like Taiwan, have compulsory military service (for men). Because if they didn't, their military would be EVEN smaller than it already is. Most Taiwanese men, during their period of service, don't take it seriously. But, at least there are warm bodies available should China mainland decide to get froggy.

It's not the best answer, but sometimes it's just about the only answer.

Can/should women voluntarily serve in combat arms? My inclination is no, although I know there is a VERY TINY fraction of women who I would probably say, yes. Separate latrines, showers, the likelihood of receiving sexual attention when surrounded by men, the additional stress a man endures when he comes home to his wife who knows he bunked right next to a woman in the field.... it's a complex issue. It's not as simple as saying, "women=men". Again, I don't say that with a chip on my shoulder. I'm not my wife (God bless her for all she does that I do not), and she's not me.
