Didn't Comey come out telling the nation that there were NO FISA warrants issued to surveille any of Trumps team? Looks like Comey has been caught with his pants on fire again. FBI obtained FISA warrant to monitor Trump adviser Carter Page Comey used to be worthy of respect. Lately, he's just a source of political lies. Interesting where all of this is going. It's a shame that we can't trust the outcome of almost any investigation of our government these days. The swamp is deep and thick.

Just as Obama won his election with his followers projecting their hopes and dreams on him... Some Trump Fans are worshiping an imaginary person.

Obama fans should have been disappointed when it turned out Barry was not the person they thought he was, and really could not give a damn if they lived or died, as long as he had their votes, and he already had. But the "Media" lied about Barry, every day, and will keep lying about him, right up to the point he has them beheaded for violating his beloved faith. ( which they will lie about )

Trump fans are being TOLD to be disappointed in him for Trump not acting the way the people who tell you to be disappointed expected him to act.

We live in one of those mirror universes where Spock has a beard and The Party of The Klan accuses The Party Of Lincoln of being Klan members.

I'm kind of in that "he's the best of the available choices" supporter of Trump with high hopes that some common sense, evolving from the business world, will be a welcome relief.

I think Trump is doing fine and his greatest detriment is having to swim upstream 24/7.

I'm heartened by the fact that he wastes no time in shuffling the personnel deck as soon as the need becomes clear. I>n the past, folks . . . not up to the task . . .were either promoted or tolerated.

Time will tell.

But he is my President.

Just took the MOAB out of the toy box.

Maybe now ISIS will know what it is to deal with a president who is serious.

Court, right after election day I commented to a buddy that I seldom get the President I wanted, and that was still true. Sigh. He responded that my only desire before the election was that Hillary not win, so I could be happy "I" won anyway.

That did cheer me up.

I wish Donald nothing but success in his job & results in "draining the swamp". Just as Rush publicly wanted Obama to fail. Not as President, but to fail in his intentions of leftist destruction. Or... adding crocodiles & poisonous snakes to the swamp and making swamp drainage illegal or impossible.

I'll complain as I see fit. I see no reason to change my imperatives. And praise, grudgingly, when he deserves.

That said I'm impressed we used the MOAB, and really want some damage reports.

The name, Massive Ordinance Airborne Bomb, was a great joke on Saddam's signature brag. ( that if we challenged him there would be the Mother Of All Battles and we would perish )

We needed an improved jungle helicopter base creator, all the old ones were used and even propane storage tanks filled with liquid explosives have been used.

The Moab is a modern technology weapon. Designed for precision as well as blast, it's quite sophisticated, aerodynamically, especially for something tossed out of a C-130.

I'm also reminded of an incident in the Liberation of Iraq War. (Gulf War 2 )

Leaflets were dropped, on the Iraqi front line trenches, warning that the allies would drop a really big bomb on that area and invited the Iraqis to move so they wouldn't get hurt. They didn't, they were annihilated. The allies gave that a short time to sink in, then dropped more leaflets. The Allied tank columns went right through the suddenly empty area instead of a big bomb, and struck deep on the way to Baghdad.

Big booms are ideal weapons for very special targets & circumstances, and useless for anything else. For one thing, you need total Sam suppression & aerial dominance. Since they are delivered by cargo planes.

Still.... very cool fireworks.

I liked this...

And yet, the MOAB is not the US military's heaviest non-nuclear bomb.
That distinction belongs to the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, or MOP, an even bigger bunker-buster which weighs a colossal 30,000lb.

Russia has developed its own massive conventional bomb, nicknamed the Father Of All Bombs. The FOAB is a kind of fuel-air bomb, technically known as a thermobaric weapon.
Thermobaric bombs generally detonate in two stages: a small blast creates a cloud of explosive material which is then ignited, generating a devastating pressure wave.
A significant part of the effect of weapons like the MOAB is said to be psychological - to instil terror by the massive force of the blast.
Its development followed the use of similar weapons including the BLU-82 Daisy Cutter, a 15,000lb bomb designed in part to flatten a section of forest to carve out a helicopter landing pad.

<edit> Pat, I have a couple of those leaflets, from my brother.
Looks like Iraqi money on one side, Arabic on the other...

When they push 21,000# out the back of a C-130, I wonder if the plane jumps up in the air?

Yes. The trick is to not pitch the nose up as the mass slides out the back.

Technically the aircraft is cruising at the proper angle of attack to lift the full weight. When the weight drops the plane climbs until the speed drops or the pilot commands nose down to maintain speed. ( both, & quickly )

May just be me . . . . .

While I appreciate the precision, within inches, with which the MOAB can be guided to a target.

I remain curious about where that 10,000# I-beam rack that it rides out of the C-130 goes . . . . .

That may be the small village, 19 miles away, that mysteriously disappeared about the same time.

It's funny but in WW2 there were no reports of fatalities from dropped fuel tanks even though every Mustang & Thunderbolt dropped two. Thousands and thousands of drop tanks.

Then again, weird happens. A B-25 ran into the Empire State building in the fog. The B-29 prototype crashed into a factory.

When the DC-10 shed an engine right after takeoff and crashed, with the loose engine coming down in a trailer park, missing everything, a local radio station asked if folk would avoid flying on a DC-10. I called in and said I'd be happy to fly on one but would avoid living in a trailer park at the end of an airport runway.

Zac mentioned the bunker buster. That's the one I thought they would use on the caves in Afghanistan. Maybe they're saving that one for the underground nuclear labs in Iran!

They usually use fuel air explosives, or thermobaric bombs, on the tunnel entrances. They tend to suck the air out of the room.

I do not know about the village. Parachute looks large enough to limit the damage to one house if it landed directly on top of one.

That bomb rack will silently parachute glide into the divot created by the massive explosion! Can not believe there would be that one unlucky bastard to stand up after the blast to get pummeled into the ruins by it. Glide path probably wouldn't have it too far from the X

During LAPES development and testing, they could extract up to 38,000 pounds out of the C-130.

https://pjmedia.com/trending/2017/04/17/an-open-le tter-to-antifa/

Not the only person I've heard discuss meeting violence with violence, and most of those folk have far better skills.

I'm too smart ( read that old & tired if you like ) to get caught in a protest. I'm a big believer in the "lesson of 1968" which says. "Don't throw shit at an armed man" ( from the 1968 Democrat & Republican National Conventions where idiots threw bags of dog crap at cops. and got the expected results )

I'm also big on the corollary to the above. "Don't stand next to an idiot throwing shit at an armed man"

However, if attacked by multiple thugs, my training is to damage them so they cannot hurt me. I've never "beaten anyone up". And have no intention of ever doing so. That's bully behavior and I'd like to think I outgrew that by 4th grade, at least. It was sometime last century, anyway.

I quit reading the comments on the PJ Media page...those dumbasses don't understand the issue either.

It's not about Hitler. Or even Assad.

IT'S ABOUT THE LIBERAL PRESS BIAS.

Spicer gets crucified for making the exact same statement Matthews made...but when Matthews did it, we heard crickets.

Because he's "OK". He's not a "Trumper".

Pick a topic. ANY topic. Find a quote from a Democrat, anytime in the last eight years.

Have a Republican make the EXACT SAME STATEMENT.

Let me know how that goes.

NEW. CLEE. ER.

Not "newc-ya-ler".

How f&(#ing HARD is this???

The most widely accepted correct pronunciation of the word is “NEW-clee-er.” In this case (somewhat unusually), the word is spelled exactly how you are supposed to say it. Put the pronunciation on the first syllable. The "er" is pronounced like the "u" in the word "fur."
