So- I'm a LONG way from this place, but given that all us BW'ers are serious chowhounds, I'm just throwing this out there:

http://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2017/04/15/523 442395/both-the-food-and-the-music-are-made-from-s cratch-at-this-texas-joint

GREAT story. If this guy ever goes on tour and comes my way, I'll certainly try to catch a show. But DANG, just the cursory descriptions of the food make me hungry! A Zagat rated blues café in the middle of nowhere, serving hand-picked seafood from the coast... now THAT sounds like somewhere we'd all meet, no?

Have a beautiful and blessed Easter weekend, all my friends.

Been there. No music though. Just stopped for lunch on a ride.

There's a great distillery in town too. Dripping springs. They copper pot distill their vodka 20 times. It almost smells like water.

I lived in San Antonio back in the late 80's. Sunday mornings were reserved for making a sunrise ride up to the hill country for "bikers breakfast". Old gas station turned to resteraunt. Don't know if this is the same place but location and atmosphere sounds the same. Pretty cool place, parking lot always had different rows of bikes, cruisers, goldwings, sport, UJM all lined up respectively. Best damned breakfast for miles, and the local riding wasn't bad either!!!

...sounds like the place to me! Dang if I'd love to make it there someday- at least my current ride, a '77 R75/7, would be fine to get me there if I ever found the time to do so.

Here's hoping a day off soon will get me to a closer, killer place to put on my feed bag. Work has whooped me this weekend!
