You're new here, aintcha? Man, I still remember the "odyssey" I took with Vern to make it in 2010... 2000.8 miles out and back from home, and a LOT of butt-hurt afterward! Had a great time though... learned a CityX is much less of a tourer than a Uly. |

No, Crusticle, it's just that I couldn't dial out enough rear shock EVAAAR to not get beaten to death as we traveled... everyone else in my group were on Uly's. I was SO jealous... It seemed that the highway expansion joints became more and more frequent as we approached Milwaukee, and then East Troy. I can't tell ya how glad I was to jump in the hot tub up there... the ride back home was harsh too. Still planning on owning a Ulysses one of these days. |

When I talked to my Mom over the weekend, she had said that Gus's had already opened for the season. That made me hunger for Gus's and Homecoming. I doubt they will have their cruise night with all the snow that they got/are getting... 1313 |

The nice thing about Wisconsin . . is that the snow generally ends by June and doesn't start again until late September. :-) |

I ate that cheeseburger for Court last year. It was good. I usually hit the broasted chicken pretty hard. I plan on trying at least 2 new items from the menu this year. Chicago dogs and gyros. |

If you're in a car, would that be an Auto Gyro? |

I personally recommend the gyro. It has so much fresh produce on it, you could convince yourself it's a healthy alternative. Do you have to eat an auto gyro all by yourself? |

Gus's opened the first of the month. Busy as always, the sun is shining now and the snow is melting. Cars in the lot now. They will be looking for all of you in June! |

Doener Kebab/Kebap (as done in Germany) blows any Gyro out of the water. Anyone know what I'm talking about? 1313 |

Brankin; I have no idea what you're talking about. However, getting back to Autogyros, I really like the one that was in the movie It Happened One Night starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert.

Now, I'm wondering if anybody will come to Homecoming in an Autogyro. |

>>>Now, I'm wondering if anybody will come to Homecoming in an Autogyro. One thing is certain . . . they will not be able to claim they are the first to have landed in the Buell parking lot. :-) |

Brankin is talking about a meat concoction that is cooked on a vertical Rotisserie like Gyro meat. Different taste. |

Only need about 90 feet to land an autogyro. They do not like negative Gs. I had half the money saved for one when I got married. |

Is that anything like shawarma? I've only had one shawarma - on my birthday last year, so just about exactly 11 months ago - and I'd say the 2 aren't all that far apart. The sauce on the shawarma definitely reminded me of one of the sauces the German Doener shops would offer and the meat was very similar. The bread was the biggest deviation, though as the shawarma was a wrap and the German Doeners I am used to have the ingredients slipped into a vertically split piece of bread along the lines of a nice, thick, tasty pita bread. Oh yeah, Homecoming thread, so back to it... Thanks Elves for the pic of Gus's! 1313 |

Maybe somebody will fly an autogyro to Gus's during Homecoming! If they get a gyro, would it be an autogyro gyro??!? And if they look at it through a monoscope, would that then be considered a gyro scope? |
