It lets them stick their noses into our private lives. It lets them take money from lobbyists, because they're "on the same side of an issue". It lets candidates garner favor with one side of the issue or the other, depending on their position, to get more votes and get elected so they can take money from lobbyists once they're elected. Actually...that's pretty much how the whole damned system works these days, regardless of the issue in question. | ||

I do get it but this thread is about keeping it funny and shouldn't be about personal agendas but since you guys want to play then let's play...............shall we??? If that's supposed to be a retort to the other side, then you really don't get it. In fact, it really goes along with what I posted earlier...  What I really find kind of amusing is suddenly people are making claims about what this thread is about. Actually claiming it has rules. Rule 1 seems to be no politics. Of course, the very first post was about the 2nd amendment. This thread started with politics. Don't like the thread? Fine, stay out. Try to redefine history right in front of my eyes, and I'm going to call you on it. Might even double down on it. Rule 2 seems to be that some people suddenly don't like a particular subject. I thought this was a meme thread. I didn't realize it was a let's debate abortion endlessly thread without any memes. Silly me. Why not just start an I love/hate abortion thread? That way you could push your views on everyone who wants to discuss it without having to corrupt it with memes? I'll tell you what; I'll be happy to start it for you if you don't know how to start a thread by yourself. | ||
