I just reserved cabin 7 from Thursday through Sunday. If anybody wants to share let me know, just bring your earplugs to bed! I guess that moves my status from definite maybe to yes. Still debating riding the Road Glide down or trailering the Buell. I'll have to see how the weather and my back are doing! | ||

Good news Greg! Now, if anything goes wrong with my old Beemer, I can lean on ya for some wrenchin'!   Seriously, it'll be cool to see you and all the "old gang" here in a couple of weeks! Matthew, have you reviewed day trip options for Saturday? I was thinking about doing some map studies the other day... I'm dead-familiar with 129N/S and 68/60N/S, it'd be fun to me to explore some routes I've not been on so far. I've been thinking about visiting Chattanooga lately- how's that look for an out-and-back? (Probably too long, and we'd miss those "Smokin' Butts"...) Mike, you're a "local"- what say ye? Also- anyone give any thoughts to my "Potluck Friday" idea? As long as that wouldn't bother Mary and the TWoS staff, let's think about it... we could host the shindig upstairs in the lodge with that big common room and kitchenette. | ||

I wasn't planning on packing any food, since I'll be coming up on the bike with no backup vehicle to haul stuff. As for Chattanooga, I wouldn't be against that since I've been wanting to visit the I.T.R.H.F.M. If we take the middle route to get there, and the northern route to get back, we are at Jim's for Dinner. The Museum is just an idea, but I figure most of us would find it interesting.  | ||

Sweeet! Chattanooga has a lot of cool stuff- to do it right, we need to watch the A/B times. Halfway to Cleveland, that turnoff to Reliance on TN64 (IIRC) kicks in. I'll research places some stuff too... recon! | ||

Guys,personaly I don't have a lot of interest in riding to Chattanooga,that's a trip I would likely make in the car and stay over night as there's too much to do there.For that matter I'm with Brad and Vern in regard to doing the whole extended Deal's Gap/Cherohala ride but then I'm getting old and don't have the stamina of some a younger rider.I guess I'll go along with the crowd. | ||

We will ride somewhere, with a limp if necessary!  Well I don't have all of those afflictions.....yet, but a few unnamed bodily gravity enhancers may entice me to drive a hotrod car, or if the Gods will let me, I hope to ride my fantastic Ulysses to Suches. If so I may stick to local riding while I am there to make my ride home more palatable. Do not let me hold anyone back from your riding adventures! | ||

 ... Vern, bed #3 is yours. It'd be an honor to roll out and back, me on the old BMW rig, and you on the bike I sold you. Graham's not chimed in yet, but I think he's converted from the Viffer to a Raider. I've been blessed to just learn the route. I'll stop at Benton's to pick up a load of pork products, then maybe up/down to stop at a natural spring to take a drink... pretty super cool what the Ruritans did at a TN360 junction. Once Graham and I hit TWoS on Friday, we'll settle in and if light allows, roll a bit more. Hopefully Vern will join, in that case we might be a little faster. Let's collaborate a bit more. |
