Not to mention the truckloads that went into into Syria prior to the resumption of the war after the terms of the ceasefire were not honored.

History did.

You mean that the Masons and the Jews and the Gypsies etc. all get blamed for everything by the evil men who preach hatred? You seem to have missed a step.

for some reason if you ask me.

You are right. For over 50 years the Kim dynasty has threatened, and the West caved, over and over.

Kim & family have told the starving people of N. Korea that the humanitarian aid relief food supplies are Tribute to the All Powerful God King. Those Australian & American & Swedish flags printed on the food boxes? Those are the subject lands who tremble in fear that Kim will change his mind and eliminate them for their insults.

When you look back on the history of N. Korea and Chinese intervention, 2 things come to mind.

China has been in terror that a unified, successful Korea will attack them, or at least show how backwards their system is. ( this, you would think, is obsolete, but the fear is now institutional ) So China will never stop Kim before he slaughters cities with nuclear fire.

Hindsight, being 20/20, tell us that if we had gone all out and eliminated the Kim Regime, and the Mao dictatorship, that even if we'd nuked Peking in 1950, the total death toll would be a tiny fraction of what Korea and China has done to it's own people.

However, it's possible that that world would be even worse than what we got, overall. See Harry Turtledove's Series, "The Hot War". https://www.amazon.com/Bombs-Away-Hot-War/dp/05533 90724/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1491360056&sr=8-4&key words=harry+turtledove

Remove sanctions & turn Kim into a grease stain? I approve.

Sanctions are a horrible mistake. Why punish the people living under a god-king? I'm all for killing only the leaders. Nigh impossible to do. But if you're willing to kill their servants and minions, doable.

The problem is, until we field orbital kinetic kill weapons the only sure way to take out Kim ( & most other dictators ) is to nuke a capitol ( massive loss of innocent life ) or conquer a land.

Naturally the idea of killing the evil leaders bothers leaders a lot.

What makes you think we don't have those orbital sniper satellites? The US specifically has been playing with that idea since the 70's (at least).

A good land based sniper could take care of the problem at a cheaper cost.

The better solution would be seen as "Natural Causes".

Just saying.

The Thor project. Aka crowbars from space.

Originally an anti-armor system for the Soviet invasion of Europe. One version was meant to kill ICBM silos.

If we had it we'd have used it by now. Barry would have killed thousands more than he did. The traitors in the CIA would have leaked it.

Doesn't mean we can't build them, but we'll have to hire Space-X to park them in orbit.

NASA became a Muslim outreach program under Barry. Their new job was to teach Muslims how much science owes them for their advances..... which ended in the thirteenth century. And were mostly from India. Until the mullahs dragged them back to the eighth century.

For the woefully ignorant among us, the sanctions against North Korea limit (not well enough, apparently) their ability to make nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, not food production. The starvation is due to mismanagement, and the theft of US food aid, the black market proceeds of which are a major source of cash for the government.

When a nation's leader behaves badly, repeatedly, and says that he will continue to do so, we apply sanctions to attempt to coerce said leader.

Then, the flower children accuse the US of starving the people of said nation, with no regard for the evils committed by the leader of said nation. What the flower children fail to realize is that, at this point, the leader of said nation is the one keeping the sanctions in place by refusing to stop being a jackass. If he would stop being a jackass, the sanctions would be lifted and the people of his nation would win twice. But then the flower children would have one less subject for myface twitter blog rants.

Corporate punishment is often used in the military (although less often in these days where everyone gets hugs and cookies just for showing up). It sucks but it typically fixes behavior a LOT faster than individual punishment.

Edit: I, too, am in favor of just schwacking the leader and moving forward in a positive direction, rather than playing childish games for years or generations. But, that's not the politically correct answer.

It's not only Not PC, it's not desired by any nation's leaders.

If vaporizing the Fearless Leader was SOP, then Putin & Clinton would be vapor.

Not to mention Trump, since our Journ o list Class And his political emenies have already called for him to be murdered.

So that isn't a solution that will be applied by normal nations.

However, if Jeff Bezos decides to pay for a precision micro-drone-murder-machine, all bets are off.

I disagree. Taking out the leaders has been the modus operandi of most nations, including ours, for quote some time. Used to be leaders met on the battlefield and threw soldiers into the grinder, and the better man won, and everyone had tea. In some places...for a short period of time, in the grand scheme of things.

But for most of history, that was not the case. War was war.

What was the first thing Bush did when he resumed the gulf war? There were strikes at all the places SH was likely to be. They were referred to as "decapitation" strikes. Cut the head off, the beast dies.

Taking out leadership makes sense, and that's what they endeavor to do. Who are we targeting in our ISIS drone strikes? Foot soldiers? Nope.

I'm not sure the idea of a micro-drone-murder-machine would need the funding of a Bezos. A couple of pounds of high explosives. A couple of pounds of shrapnel. A camera that can give a live video feed. A drone big enough to carry that amount of weight. You now have the parts for a very cheap guided missile that can be steered to a target from a mile or so away. Any leader who is willing to make public appearances outdoors would be at risk. The only part you couldn't easily order on the internet would be the explosives package. How hard to smuggle that in is the question. If you have the right connections, it's probably pretty easy.

Sure, If Kim was in Detroit, it's be no problem to take a sub-$1000 drone and equip it with a IED Claymore mine. Buzz it by him as he walks out of his hotel....

But Fat Kim is in the most closed society on Earth. I can't afford a drone that uses satellites for control a thousand miles away, nor the pull to ship such a thing to close enough for a version smaller than a F-18.

Besides, when I say Micro, I'm talking smaller than the palm of your hand, able to deliver at speed a small dose of.... humility.

When those hit the military market, it's going to be a very scary world. Bad guys would love some.

How long would Bernie have lasted if Hillary had access? Or Donald if Chuck Schumer.....

Not to defend O'Reilly, beyond what is known. Cosby has been accused of rape of multiple women. O'Reilly has been sort of accused of sexual harassment. The worst I heard of was a claim of someone interviewing for a job with him and declining to go upstairs to "see his room". I have no clue where the truth lies on that, but if true, it's bad. It's nowhere near a rape accusation though.

Really not a bad deal . . . O'Reilly retires with the highest viewership in the history of television and about $10,000,000 and year income from his books.

It'll be a struggle . . but he'll get by.

http://www.glennbeck.com/2017/04/19/exclusive-proo f-that-liberals-are-working-to-remove-bill-oreilly -from-fox-news/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=ema il&utm_campaign=20170419GBDaily&utm_term=GB-Contro l

A Hillary & Soros partner is allegedly behind the O'Reilly storm.

Now, I'm strongly, very strongly, in favor of giving the alleged victims of sexual harassment justice. When your boss makes a pass at you and you feel you will lose your job or chances for promotion, then the relationship is one with a serious power imbalance. And you are screwed, in so many ways.

There are many folk out there with relationships that are not "normally balanced" partnerships of equals. In fact, the NORMAL relationship a century ago is not "balanced" in the days before women had voting and property rights.

But as a society, a Modern Liberal culture, the Victorian Era crap just won't fly.

And we can ignore those odd relationships entered into willingly by both parties, "Consenting adults" covers a Lot of ground and if one partner is submissive or one likes to control the finances, and it's an agreed upon thing, it's none of our business. ( and I know a LOT of couples where the wife, or husband, does all the bill paying, hopefully the responsible one. I Know people that have almost lost their homes because the partner that was in charge of paying the bills.... didn't. )

But sex harassment on the job is a Crime. Simply because of the imbalance of Power in the workplace.

So The women who allegedly were harassed by Bill O'really have every right to be heard.

As do the women that were allegedly harassed by Slick Willie. ( and we KNOW those women are condemned as trailer trash and sluts, by the Loyal Minions Of The Press )

And It's not at all unusual for a rich man to pay hush money to women who accuse them of harassment. Sometimes out of guilt, sometimes to just make the person bearing False Witness go away, and Always to protect their position, & wealth. Rich people will always be targeted by scam artists.

It is alleged Bill O'Reilly has made several such payments, and while I naturally assume this an admission of guilt, it, isn't, always. Just usually.

And it has been alleged that Bill Clinton also has made multiple payments to his alleged victims. In fact, although Hillary was, as usual, lying through her teeth when she claimed that she & Bill were broke when they left the White House, it appears to be true that they WERE pretty broke when they left the Governor's Mansion in Arkansas because of the amount of hush money paid to so many alleged victims of Bill's horndog actions.

So, I'm not giving O'Reilly a pass, nor am I condemning him without evidence, he, and his accusers have the right to justice.

I will point out the apparent organized nature of the attacks on O'Reilly. And I have a trained inclination to figure that if Media Matters, or any other Obama/Clinton/Soros related company says anything, it's a money making bet that it's a lie. ( If I could place such bets in Vegas, I'd have a Jay Leno sized garage full of toys )

The fact that Soros, or any other leftists are involved in ousting O'Reilly is hardly surprising. It would be more surprising if they weren't actively doing so. That has little bearing on the claims against O'Reilly, unless there are ties between the leftist groups and the accusers. I have no clue if any of those ties exist. I do know that there have been a couple of accusations from people that I otherwise have had respect for. People that I wouldn't expect to be doing it for improper reasons. Frankly, I'm not sure it looks good for O'Reilly. I have to admit though, I'm far from being up to speed on all of this.

What I am fairly convinced of at this point though, is the double standard that exists depending on your political leanings. O'Reilly wasn't even a far right person by a long shot. If you aren't part of the progressive machine though, you will be put through the meat grinder for fairly small missteps. If you are part of the progressive machine, you will find yourself well protected.

I would want these women to be able to have their story heard the way they choose, court or public shaming. Some very well could have made false claims purely for the money. Some very well could have legit grievances. I can understand Fox News wanting to get past this. If it gets cleared up, they could bring him back. They did that with Judge Napolitano recently over his reporting that the Brits provided intelligence on Trump's staff. His reporting was pretty well vindicated.

I am curious, did all of these allegations come up just recently, or have they been spread over a number of years? A while back I had pointed out how the allegations against Trump all came in a very short period of time. That's a tell that it's likely BS. It was pointed out how Bill Cosby was in the same boat. A quick internet search showed that Cosby had been having accusations for a very long time. It just never got to critical mass, until it did. Anyone know about the O'Reilly case?
