Ok people... let's plan ahead. I have chosen a tentative schedule for GB3, and by popular demand I'm thinking 4 days should fit the bill. March 9-12, 2017. I'm going to call Mary and book my room TODAY. If we change the dates, I can change my booking. (Brad....) She only charges a single day, refundable deposit. | ||

That was the reasoning behind Marchbadness becoming Aprilbuells day. The last couple of times it was so fre%$#* cold and raining that we all reached out for a few weeks later. The demo bikes were even hard to enjoy when it was 35F and damp like a wet sponge. Heck, mostly we drank alcohol and built bonfires because we were tent camping and trying to warm up and get dry! Then of course we did it in good weather and found out how much fun it was!  | ||

I'm thinking the later date might be best too. It was really nice last year even if it was chilly at night but to me that's perfect! Campfires are better in the cold and you don't need a cooler for your beer! It's a win win! | ||

Mike - I knew you were looking for one, how do you like the carbon? Brad - An overnighter could work well. Last year I drove down in one day, drove back in one day, and I don't really want to do that again. My plan this time is to ride as many miles as I can Thursday and stay somewhere, and get to Suches Friday afternoon. Coming back I'd like to head towards Deals Gap Sunday afternoon evening so I can ride it on Monday, then ride a few miles and stay somewhere Monday night, do some more exploring on the way home on Tuesday, maybe through West Va. | ||
