A: A right to freedom from torture is good thing, when the individuals in question aren't trying to slay us en masse.

B: Saudi Arabians aren't fleeing here using the refugee programs to enter our country. We should be trying harder to get them to take some of those so-called refugees and put them in their purpose-built air-conditioned tent cities, which stand empty, because why? THEY DON'T WANT THEM IN THEIR COUNTRY EITHER.

C: God forbid the President of the United States should tell it how it is, and keep his promises. Bottom line, first week in: he has kept more promises than Barry did in EIGHT YEARS. Like it or not, he was legally elected, and is doing what he said he would do. There are of course, hurdles to be cleared in order to keep some of these promises, which may not been apparent when the promises were actually made. This is to be expected.

To quote a great man, "Dem dat's goin', get on da wagon. Dem dat ain't, get out da way!"

THEY have no qualms about torturing, murdering, or raping US.

Time to level the playing field.

I disagreed with the Bush administration on water boarding. I disagreed with the Clinton administration on their use of torture. I disagreed with the Obama administration on their use of torture.

I agree with the Trump administration on no use of torture.

Since both the Bill & Barry admins used old school real torture in foreign countries both were worse than the Bush administration and infinitely worse than the Trump administration so far.

I'm already on record on this subject. Torture is a crime. If a Jack Bauer officer finds he needs to pressure a terrorist to get the location of the bomb before it murders a school ( Die Hard 3 ) that officer takes on that responsibility. The president may pardon him for his crime, but he broke the law. Period.

If I were president I might indeed pardon the officer, or not depending on circumstances. It certainly wouldn't be policy. Unlike the Clinton administration.

To be fair, I would psych ops the Islamic world with Pink & honest anti misogyny messaging. Some would call that torture.

And I'd put Bill in prison with Hillary. That's definitely torture. Same cell with Uma, too. ( would pay per view be immoral or social justice ?)

In any event... welcome back Tod.

Drop the quickly growing annoying bet stupidity. It's gone from a difference of opinion to playground bullying. It's obvious the ego part exceeds the intellect on that harping.

Btw if every time Trump has to retreat from his stupid tweets in the face of reality you get a orgasm, invest in cleaning supplies. Your monitor will soon be opaque.

I found his persona and actions distasteful before he won the election. I hope he improves but won't hold my breath.

Calling each of those back tracks lies is wrong. ( but by all means call out the ones that are ) Campaign promises have always been broken. If you didn't call Barry out on his too you're just being a parrot.

Pwnzor where were the 9/11 terrorists from?

Aequire the bet shall proceed ive procured an intermediary that may contact Sifo soon, i've watched (occasionally) the BWBT endlessly bash on all things liberal and will be reminding you of the problems with the administration you were strongly behind (or at least voted for).

And the many false equivalencies and 180's when you harped on Obama for things that pale compared to trumps miss steps.

Bullying? look at what was written shortly after this started and I didnt have time to respond for like a day and a half. Or go look at the Bama or H threads and what is commonly said about all liberals. I didnt give Obama a free pass and I pray that you guys can have clear enough sight to see the havoc to be.

(Though I really do wish I was wrong but seeing the people he has surrounded himself with and the petty things he has done, i doubt it.)

Small government?, less intrusive? smaller deficit? are these not tenets of your beliefs...how is he doing this? taking away the minuscule money for the arts, building up a bloated military, slighting our world friends, thinking he can bully trade partners (not that our pacts were made to benefit working people but do you really think nobody in the last 4 administrations was smart enough to use the simple tactic of tariffs if it was likely to be advantageous?) and building an impossible wall. it would cost over 10 BILLION DOLLARS... and not do a thing, how much will it cost to patrol thousands of miles of wall you need eyes or cameras EVERY 100 feet. If its 50 foot tall you dont think someone will have a 51 foot ladder, and how deep will it go, we gonna put it 50 feet down so its harder to get under??? Most illegals come in right through the airports... gonna shut them down?

And the really scary thing is what all of us are going to loose from your congress while we are bickering over trumps ignorance.

Yes Court those poor energy companies are just so hobbled by the EPA, who needs clean water and air? Its more important for subsidized multinationals to get richer. When was the last time a nuclear plant came in under budget?, where are they financed?, why is it that the private sector won't finance them and thusly we as tax payers have to?
http://www.ucsusa.org/nuclear-power/cost-nuclear-p ower/nuclear-power-subsidies-report

where is there more money and jobs in power?

http://fortune.com/2017/01/27/solar-wind-renewable -jobs/ and yes it is starting from a smaller base, but its not going to stop.

...Lucky for you guys I gotta go to FL for a couple weeks intensive training I hope trump has not wrecked the country completely before I get back.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. We did agree to some details of a bet. Then you backed out, and are now pretending that I agreed to some new vague bet that's not at all defined. I would be happy to have Matthew hold our cash for a bet. It will be for the first bet before we enter into a second bet though.

You ask how you've been dishonest? For starters, your reputation in your last version of your online self was pretty tarnished at best. You jump in with a new version of yourself, and refuse to answer direct questions from multiple people when asked who you are. Now you have lied about agreeing to the bet that I've documented an agreement to, but you will no doubt claim I backed out, as you have already said you will do. Have fun, but it's almost painful to watch.

Trump's Nominees Face "Unprecedented" Democrat Obstructionism
By Rob Bluey, 01/28/2017

President Donald Trump starts his first full week in the White House with just two Cabinet secretaries confirmed by the U.S. Senate. That's the lowest number in decades, and a sharp contrast from former President Barack Obama.

Trump's picks have fared worse than past Cabinet nominees. Even though Trump enjoys a Republican-led Senate, Democrats have kept their promise to delay confirmation of his nominees, even if they lack the votes to ultimately defeat them.

I would note that President Trump is also, sadly, being opposed by some Republicans in Congress - the Uniparty has metastasized quite effectively over the years in DC.

Hopefully President Trump's aggressive chemotherapy targets them, as well...

He has one hell of a hill to climb, fighting his own party in lockstep with the demonrats, and still accomplishing more than the last guy ever did in the first week.

Herman Cain - a man who was mercilessly gang-raped by the mainstream media in '08 (seriously, wouldn't you love to know who ordered this hit?) - tells it like it is:

Well said Fb1. The Uniparty is indeed a malignant cancer that needs to be cut out. Im hoping Trump will be the scalpel that does it.

I'm one of those who voted for Trump even though I don't really like him. He wasn't my first choice, but was an easy one to make over Hilary Clinton. I don't think he is a nice or pleasant person, and would not want to spend much time around him. That said, I support what he has done so far, and am praying he makes a great president. I do think he is going about the WALL and the boarder problem the wrong way. Way too much money is going to be spent. I would simply allow the boarder patrol, aided by citizen militia, to shoot anybody who comes over the boarder illegally. Not arrest, not deport, but flat out kill. It would not take long for people to get the message.

Folks like Herman Cain, and particularly Allen West, are the left's Kryptonite - it was absolutely imperative to the bad guys that neither of these gentlemen gained presidential traction. Very sad.

Epic – Is Team Trump Baiting Liberal Media and Refugee Protesters By Using Obama’s Own Policy?

Steveford, it's a little early to assume Trump's admin will be fascist like Obama's. That was close to classic Italian version with the ones that bribe big get big.

However, if it does go that direction and Donald is half the bribe taker as Barry then impeachment is in order.

If you meant "fascist" as the ignorant catch all insult of the leftists, then I have to say you haven't realized that Donald is a classic social liberal. ( some others haven't noticed either )

As to Badweb being harsh on liberals..... that has some truth to it. By now I think most understand that Rush & other right wing pundits wrongly use liberal when they mean progressive.

I'm liberal. I'm also counter revolutionary so I am anti-progressive. The difference between western liberal civilization with personal rights and legal equality for all, & progressive state worship collectivism is stark and obvious.

The dishonesty & theft of labels like "liberal" by the regressive pro-aristocracy left has left us this confusion.

Individual liberty vs. State supremacy.

Rights & responsibility vs. Entitlement & dependence.

Free speech vs. Must shut up opposition.

The list is endless. But the simplest metric is.....

Liberals free slaves. ( see Republican Lincoln )
Progressives kill their subjects to keep them in line. ( see Eurasia 1917 to present )

The doomsday clock is correct. Only weeks ago representatives of the Russian Empire were threatening nuclear war. There was & are accusation of Russian interference in our election. Just over a week ago by the then president. That same president threatened cyber war.

Barry's inconsistent confrontation with Russia in Ukraine & Syria, and China in the Pacific don't make for peace. Bluster & weakness invite aggression.

Throw in the dismantling of the U.S. military and the reshuffling of flag officers to assure political purity over the last eight years and I'd say it's no wonder fear of nuclear war is high.

In - Of Course It Was Going To Happen - News: A judge in New York has barred Trump's executive order temporarily banning immigration from the list of countries with suspected terrorist ties.

Guess we all should get used to this. Anything and everything Trump does that can be contested in court, will be. It's how the left is going to slow Trump down, and in essence gridlock the country.

The doomsday clock is correct

Only if 2 minutes and 30 seconds is the same thing as an indefinite amount of time that is clearly longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

The doomsday clock can't just sit at the same time for... longer than a milisecond... It's totally made up; we're always moving closer to the end of the world as we know it.

Read the bible; it ain't pretty. Tribulation, persecution, one world government, all who oppose are decapitated, then comes the day of the Lord when God destroys everything. The sun gets 7 times brighter, the very elements are melted with fervent heat; heaven and earth are destroyed.

BUT - we get a new heaven and new earth, and everybody who believes in Jesus gets to hang around, watch from the grandstands, then live forever.

I wouldn't get too wrapped around the axle when it comes to some university humanist trying to tell me how the world ends.
