Last summer, my bike ate it's engine, and Badwebbers got together and organized a rescue relay and got me home. That's the Spirit that I've come to appreciate and to see in things relating to Erik Buell. So, today, while I was out running errands on my bike, a thought ran through my head, "I wonder if there's anything we can do to help out EBR?" Short of winning the Lottery, there's no way any individual here can do anything, but I wonder if there's something we could do as a group that might help? I saw Erik offer to take the wheels off his personal bike to help out someone whose wheel bearings died at Homecoming back in 08 or 09. He's that kind of guy. And I've seen Badwebbers at their best. Maybe there's nothing we can do, but what if there is? It would really suck to let an American Dream die without even trying. And, No; I have no idea of what might help; but there are some fairly sharp people who might have ideas. What do you think? I did stop and buy both a Powerball and a Mega Millions ticket. If I win, I'll invest heavily in EBR. However, the chances of that happening are less than slim and close to none. |

Outside of buying a years worth of bike inventory, I am not sure there is much to do. I did have thoughts (spurred by some of Court's stories) about a crowd sourced advertisement/information tour. Go-fund-me campaign to buy advertising in various markets? I was hoping my next bike would be an EBR, but that would not have been for a couple of years. ...sigh... |
