Sifo, if we were betting we'd pick a spot between us.... Cleveland?

In any event there is zero reason for haste here. How about a bet on how many fraudulent votes? Or when Mexico pays for the wall?

Hahahaha . . . I can just about guarantee Mexico will pay for any wall that gets built.

They erred when they drew a line.

Frankly, were I part of the Trump administration, I'd have immediately locked down the border and banned Mexican imports. Let Ford, Fender and all those companies get their asses back to America and build the products they are selling Americans.

Mexico . . . and you don't get all those travel advisories issued by the USDOS by being a vacation get-away . . .is a hotbed of drug and gang activities.

You'd be insane to go to Mexico City these days.

Trump has never had an issue with immigrants . . .his issue has been with ILLEGAL immigrants. . . . you know, the ones who break the law to cross the border and then come to the USA and take benefits illegally and commits crimes.

They are the first ones I'd waterboard.

I'd make them take a serious look at the consequences before even thinking about crossing that border.

Agreed.

The MSM has him painted as "anti-immigrant" and the sheeple are buying it hook, line, and sinker. He's - as Court said - anti-ILLEGAL. Difference.

Watching the briefings, it sounds like the admin is going about it properly at least. More severe penalties pretty much across the board, to make the point. Consistent, strict, firm punishment for things like illegal immigration and...oh, I don't know...felony rioting and destruction of property.

The nation at large is no longer the "safe haven" for all the butt-hurt Dems to sit and cry and destroy stuff and disrupt everyone else's daily life. Nor is the nation at large going to tolerate criminal activity in general - from citizens, or from illegals.

And the one briefing was brilliant - we'll SEND BACK the illegals who commit crimes here in the US. And we'll - what a concept THIS is - actually SUPPORT and not ignore the citizen victims who are affected by these illegals and the crimes they commit. An illegal kills a cop. Everybody focuses on the "persecuted immigrant"...which is patently untrue, by the way - they're neither "persecuted" nor "immigrant" because they're ILLEGAL...but everyone ignores the honest, actual CITIZEN who was killed, and the family they left behind.

This stuff has to change. And it looks like it will. Finally.

Trump Puts Sanctuary Cities On Notice
By Nate Jackson, Patriot Post - 01/26/2017

As we've noted already this week, President Donald Trump has taken the issue of immigration head on. First it was the border wall. Then came Trump's executive order on interior enforcement, which includes pulling funding from so-called sanctuary cities. According to The Washington Times, the order "calls on Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly and the new attorney general to cut off all federal funding they control under existing federal laws." Anything further will require congressional action. Trump also ordered DHS to create a "name and shame" list of sanctuary cities, including publicizing the names of aliens who've been released and the crimes they've committed.

"Cities" is an understatement. California, Colorado, Connecticut and New Mexico do not cooperate with federal immigration authorities, as is the case with cities and counties in 25 other states and DC. Yes, that's right, the seat of the federal government is a "sanctuary city." Leftists in these jurisdictions like to frame their actions as simply not cooperating — as in police not checking immigration status when making arrests or traffic stops. But it's far more insidious. These cities often actively resist when federal authorities come looking for specific illegal aliens.

The horrific results are clear, as illustrated by the widely reported murder of Kate Steinle by a five-time-deported illegal alien felon two years ago in San Francisco. But that's just one case. The Obama administration released thousands upon thousands of illegal alien criminals. Over a two-year period, more than 66,000 illegal alien criminals were set free — and there were 166,000 convictions among them, including 11,000 rapes and 395 homicides. Thousands of them were rearrested after committing further crimes.

Yet leftists insist they're the compassionate ones.

It's important to note that Trump isn't making law here. Everything he's called for is already the law — the wall, deportation, all of it. Enforce the law and you solve most of the problem. He's off to a good start. [emphasis mine - FB]

Just How Much Voting Fraud Does Exist?
By Thomas Gallatin, Patriot Post - 01/26/2017

Early this week Donald Trump leveled the claim that three to five million illegal votes were cast during this past election, and he has called for an investigation into voter fraud. That stunning accusation — stunning only for the high numbers claimed — predictably brought howls of outrage from the Leftmedia, which lambasted Trump for yet more fake news and baseless claims. Hypocritically, the Leftmedia offered no evidence to prove that Trump's accusation was "baseless."

And it's not as if there are no facts supporting at least the need for a greater investigation into voter fraud, as several recent lawsuits brought by the Public Interest Legal Foundation demonstrate. In fact, why did the government see fit to pass the National Voting Registration Act of 1993 if it wasn't intended to combat potential voting fraud? In other words, it would be ridiculous to assert that voter fraud didn't happen. The real question is just how bad of a problem it is. If no comprehensive investigations are done, then the argument merely continues to be the spitting contest it currently has become.

It's rather dubious for the Leftmedia to call out Trump as a liar and yet argue against investigating his claims. The truth is, the Leftmedia isn't interested in knowing the actual number of illegal immigrants who voted or how many votes dead people cast or how many individuals voted multiply times. So long as official data is unavailable, leftists can continue to claim voter fraud is really not a problem — that it's simply the boogie man conservatives like to drag up as a political scare tactic designed to disenfranchise minority voters. The Leftmedia's stance essentially cheapens the unique privilege of American citizenship.

Radio pundit today was laughing about the media demanded an investigation on vote fraud because Donald trolled them with his multi millions speculation. Not a claim mind you... he was speculating. So after they asked for an investigation, he gave them one.

And now they will ignore that they asked for this and lie about how stupid it is.

President Trump and Prime Minister May Scheduled 1:00pm ET Press Conference
By Sundance, 01/27/2017

Seriously – Trump world moves at hypersonic speed. We have to work on adjusting our schedules accordingly. Never before have we seen so many policy issues and constructs being directed simultaneously. Newsrooms must be exhausted, and it’s only week #1.

Current News: Mexican Billionaire owner of the New York Times is having a presser at 12:30pm – details unknown (link); President Trump is scheduled to speak to Vladimir Putin on Saturday (link); New report shows Germany’s Angela Merkel also scheduling a phone call with President Trump on Saturday – unknown if before or after Putin (link); And at 1:00pm today President Trump and UK Prime Minister Theresa May will be holding a joint press conference to discuss their meeting.

White House Live Stream Link HERE

quote:

[...] British PM Theresa May has made a striking break with what she called the “failed policies of the past”, saying the days of UK-U.S. intervention in sovereign countries are over. These comments will no doubt be picked apart and qualified — and in some ways simply echo Trump’s line that the United States will be putting homeland security first — but they are a deliberate move ahead of her meeting with Trump to set her administration aside from past ones (Cameron, Blair) and redefine a new basis for U.S. ties. [...] When Trump promised that as president — on “day one” — he would begin to dismantle ObamaCare, some Republicans, many members of the press and most Democrats laughed at him. They are laughing no longer because the first executive order he signed on January 20th directed those in the federal government who enforce ObamaCare to do so expecting that it will soon not exist.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2vV0JD978g

[President Trump] ordered that regulations already in place be enforced with a softer, more beneficent tone, and he ordered that no penalty, fine, setoff or tax be imposed by the IRS on any person or entity who is not complying with the individual mandate, because by the time taxes are due on April 15, the IRS will be without authority to impose or collect the non-tax tax, as the individual mandate will no longer exist. Why take money from people that will soon be returned?

Then he ordered a truly revolutionary act, the likes of which I have never seen in the 45 years I have studied and monitored the government’s laws and its administration of them. He ordered that when bureaucrats who are administering and enforcing the law have discretion with respect to the time, place, manner and severity of its enforcement, they should exercise that discretion in favor of individuals and against the government.

This is radical coming from any president in the modern era of government-can-do-no-wrong. It is far more Thomas Jefferson, the small-government champion with whom Trump has never been associated, than it is Theodore Roosevelt, the super-regulator whom Trump has stated he admires.

This action recognizes the primacy and dignity of the individual and the fallibility of the state. It acknowledges the likely demise of ObamaCare. It is utterly without precedent since Jefferson’s presidency. (read more)

Steve Bannon Torches New York Times: ‘You Have No Power’
By Breitbart News, 01/26/2017

[Steve Bannon,] former Executive Chairman to Breitbart News — tells the New York Times’ Michael Grynbaum that the “elite media” has “no authority” to report on what the American people want out of newly-inaugurated President Donald Trump.

From the New York Times:

quote:

Stephen K. Bannon, President Trump’s chief White House strategist, laced into the American press during an interview on Wednesday evening, arguing that news organizations had been “humiliated” by an election outcome few anticipated, and repeatedly describing the media as “the opposition party” of the current administration.

“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile,” Mr. Bannon said during a telephone call.

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong,” Mr. Bannon said of the election, calling it “a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.”

“The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign,” Mr. Bannon said. “Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: they were outright activists of the Clinton campaign.” (He did not name specific reporters or editors.)

“That’s why you have no power,” Mr. Bannon added. "You were humiliated."

I think one major problem is right there in a quote at the end of the article, from Stephen Engleberg at ProPublica:

“We are here to tell the truth and we intend to continue doing so, regardless of how badly some might want us to parrot ‘alternative facts,’” Mr. Engelberg said.

No.

The press is NOT here to "tell truth".

The press's SOLE responsibility is to report FACTS.

"Truth" implies judgement on some level. Analysis. Interpretation. Perspective. WRONG. That is not the job of the press.

The job of the press is to simply report the facts. "true/false/good/bad" is up to the consumer, NOT the press. A good reporter does only that - reports on what is. Either it is or it isn't. Don't get into "why".

I learned there were four key elements to a story: who, what, where, when. Simple. Facts. Who did it. What did they do. Where did they do it. When did they do it. STOP. You're done. You have now successfully reported an event. The consumer can do the rest, by comparing this event to other events that have been accurately reported with the same who/what/where/when facts.

If you get into a "why" did they do it...you start speculating, painting it with influence, and biasing your consumer.

Yes all true, and now the media wants us to believe Trump has the lowest ratings from the people of any new Pres. They also want us to believe that the crowds at the inauguration were very small according to their scientific observers, how pathetic !

Though I'm not a fan as yet, Steve Bannon has it right, instead of just reporting the news, they want to steer it in the direction they want, they still just don't get it !

Trump is certainly upsetting the status quo. I'm still not completely sold on what he is doing, but I have not underestimated him. I'm amazed at the numbers of people who have simply underestimated him. If you do that, and oppose him, he will steam roll you. It's a bit entertaining watching these people who think they can just brush him off as bluster. Makes you want to say "welcome to the NFL". Trump is a big league player.

Case in point, Mexico's President trying to play hard ball by canceling their meeting. Their currency has gone into free fall. No doubt, failing to agree on trade agreements will hurt the US to some extent. The simple reality is that it will be devastating to Mexico. They NEED the US. The US can get by with out them. Trump understands the cards he holds in negotiations. He also doesn't flinch when you bluff him. Far better to be his weak ally than his strong foe.

It's certainly going to be an interesting Presidency.

^ The "elite" media, as Mr. Bannon describes them, gets it just fine - they're doing, and saying, what they've been told to do and say.

The left isn't stupid; they're brilliant, actually.

They don't play fair, to be sure, but they're not dumb.

The mainstream media is owned - lock, stock and barrel - by folks with very deep pockets.

And I don't know why it is, but it seems the more money you've got, the lefter you lean.

President Trump is an anomaly in this regard. In part, I think it's because he's worked his ass off to get where he is. (Seriously, have you ever seen anyone work harder to become president?)

The mainstream media would have you believe they're impartial. They absolutely are NOT.

And they aren't stupid. They "get it" just fine - they're simply doing the bidding of their masters.

Sifo early on you said we will get the money figured out and then nail down the specifics. The only option I can facilitate is setting up a bank account that takes both of us. If we get the money squared away we have 3 years to figure out fair statistics, but I will not use GDP, this is about working class people not corporations. So if that is your way to back out so be it. Comparing multiple (an odd number of) criteria to betting on 12 teams is just pathetic, maybe you didn't know it but the American economy is kinda complex, but to you its all black and white, right and wrong.

Every successful entrepreneur has failed enterprises. Those failures, and more importantly the desire to take those risks, are what drove their success.

Most people, including myself, are far too risk averse to try their hand at starting and running their own company.

Look at Erik Buell. He's risked everything, over and over again, at his dream of building motorcycles in an industry dominated by giants that have tons of working capital. Are we going to call him a failure?

Also, I'd much rather have people like that in a position to make real life decisions rather than someone who has spent his entire life in a classroom, a court room or at a news desk.

Today:

That is an increase of +2,878,981 since Inauguration – since the 2 new Twitter accounts were opened. President Trump now has 8 media venues.

In order of the number of followers:
22,400,404 – @realDonaldTrump
20,048,240 – @DonaldTrump
14,392,003 – @POTUS
13,499,919 – @WhiteHouse

Videos of President Trump’s campaign speeches/rallies on YouTube @ RSBN [Right Side Broadcasting Network - FB] are still being watched – including the announcement speech which has over 2 million views. Several have over 1 million views.

I keep posting these updates, because these numbers are indicative of the power Trump has to reach the American people and international audience with the truth – and to go around the dishonest, leftist propaganda media, both broadcast and print. The dishonest media and the political elite can’t match this kind of audience.

As of 9 am, Trump has a media trigger finger that shoots 76.16 caliber bullets out to the world.

That number has increased significantly in the hours/minutes since I’ve been typing the update.
