In 1961 I had 2 jobs paying $.65 hr. State raised hr. wadge to $.75 hr. both jobs cut my hrs. in half.Made less. Minimum wadge raise = inflation and less jobs for starters.

Pwnzor: I agree wholeheartedly!
A local woodworking company has been trying to find apprentices for years now. Hell I even thought about it, but I could not survive on apprentice pay. The owner has been desperate to find people for years and is working with the local community college to create a school/job training program.
One thing I like about Amazon's concept is that it would force people to put things back where they found them. I see it all the time where someone changes their mind about frozen fish sticks then leaves them on a random shelf, and because they may have defrosted they have to get tossed.
Plus, I no longer would have to deal with "unexpected item in the bagging area" because the checkout machines are programmed to be very slow.
I think they might still have people stocking the shelves. Robots might have a harder time than a human to verify packaging integrity and potential spoilage.
