Update: The job was done yesterday. A crew of 4 guys showed up, and after they got their Silverado truck and trailer unstuck trying to turn around in a cul-de-sac around the corner from my house, they got started. Removed the downspouts, and a few sections of siding, then drilled a couple of dozen 2 inch holes all around the house. Stopped for lunch (I fed them a DiGiorno's pizza), then the foam pumping phase began. Once that was done, they replaced the plugs from the holes, put back up all the siding, done. Before they left, we fed them again, a killer batch of white bean turkey chili with hot pepper cornbread... watching them work, I felt great about getting them a good meal to end the day. (FWIW, my honey did most of the cooking... ) About $2600 on a 12 month same as cash loan. And, starting tonite, lows dropping to the 20's and teens... Very pleased. They did a great job, and were a pleasure to work with. Gotta stay warm youn's! |

And, starting tonite, lows dropping to the 20's and teens... Man, just in time! Let us know how it works out. You'll probably have to switch to LED bulbs soon because your old incandescents put off too much heat with all that insulation. |

Yeah- that's not gonna be anything to worry about soon. In a prefect future, I'd sell/lease this place to my sweetie's bachelor brother, and move into something out in the county where it's quiet... We'll be staying in this old shoebox a while yet- gotta keep polishing the turd. |

"looks like cool stuff till you want to remodel and run some new pipes/wires" You always have that issue with exterior walls, even with fiberglass insulation. Besides, you want to run a pipe, you're removing drywall at that point anyway. Foam is easy enough to scrape out. |
