SWEEEEETTT!!! It's ON like Donkey Kong! I've yet to speak with anyone at Copperhead to determine which of the "elite" cabins we'll have- I'll see about making sure we have the right layout to possibly take on a 4th person if need be. |

Well, craptastic. I always like buying my gas and odd stuff there. Picked up some really good hot sauce there a couple of years ago- last time I was there I couldn't find any more. Mike- are they just doing a seasonal close, or something worse? Folks there were always really nice. |

It's closed for good. The last month or so they had very little stock on the shelves and no gas for at least a month and a half. |

Yeesh- hate to hear about that. I threw some $$$ at them a year or 2 ago when they were struggling... maybe someone could work a streamlined yearly plan. My background is much more along the food/beverage side of things- retail incidentals and gas sales will have pretty low margins. A road foodie destination (see Jim's BBQ) with a loyal following might work better... I'll certainly chat up Bill, Mary, and others about that situation. Sad. |

I'm planning to be at TWoS before dark. Not sure if I'll be on my Z1000 or on Tyler's Ninja 300 since he rode the Z away from our house about 1 hour after I put the new clutch cable in it... and haven't seen my bike since. But, I've been wanting to flog the Ninja since he first bought it... so... we'll see |

...find your Z yet, Matthew?!? I'd go for the 300. Everything I've read about the bike and its updates sounds like a ton of fun! If it's broken in, it'd be a hoot to run it in the upper range, on boil, and whoop up all the N GA roads! Cmon Friday AM!!! |

Yeah, but the Ninja doesn't have heated grips... I watch the Z going back and forth on the GPS tracker from his house to work and back... 80mph on surface streets... lol |

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the wildfires that are burning in North GA,Tennessee and North Carolina. The largest is in the Rough Ridge section of the Cohutta Wilderness Area which is northwest of Suches. The last two weekends riding up to Two Wheels,I've only noticed a hint of smoke around the Stone Pile, over Cedar Mountain and in Suches.I haven't been to Suches today but at my place in Dahlonega the smoke is really thick today,to the point that with my Asthma I can't go up to my shop and work on the ignition switch on the Buell.I have a Motogadget m-lock RFID ignition switch to replace the oem switch that has nearly left me stranded the last couple of weeks. I hope the wind shifts. |

We've had that smoky haze up here in the Knoxville area for several days recently- today it's cleared up nicely. Our weather guy showed a satellite view, with burns around Franklin NC, parts close to the Cherohala Skyway, etc... looked like someone had a crumpled newspaper burning in each of those areas! No good at all for asthma or allergies fo sho. My sweetie is cooking white bean chicken chili, and I can barely smell it... DAMMIT. |

Froggy's tracker is cool as shit! Wish I could be part of this weekend's fun. Right now I'm taking a painters base clear coat-paint-between coats- break. Weather is great here in Knoxville area. We had that smoke from Southerly winds for a few days. It was kinda nasty, like standing too close to a burning leaf pile even though the actual fires are at least fifty miles out. Wind shifted to being from the North Tuesday evening. Big relief for us, but you guys are going to have it. |

Got some wax on the Beemer, got the pretty Krauser bags to accept the mount tabs, ready to watch the latest Star Trek Redbox DVD for free, white bean chicken chili and cornbread done by my honey... all's left is a good nite's sleep, coffee and wakey early, quick packing, check tire pressures, and- ROLL! Sometimes, it's nice to live right. GAME. ON. |

I-40 is still burning (actually, the woods to the north of the highway). It added almost two hours to my time. I had to stop and let my hands relax for a while. They're both cramping up from the stop and go crawl. Google says that I'm 2 1/2 hours out. I'll probably arrive somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00. |
