Anyone here use Merrill Edge for trading stocks? I'm a BOA customer and have enough in the bank to get their better rates on trades, and thinking of setting up an account. Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with them, especially if you've been on the receiving end of a screw job, trying to avoid a screw job right now (which is why I'm asking). |

What's their price per transaction (for securities)? |

Securities I'm not sure. Stocks are $7 unless you have enough money in accounts to get free trades... But that's only for buying. When you sell they want a penny per share or something like that. They ask a lot of questions and ask you to prove who you are many times over... And they are part of BOA and when I clicked the sign up button half of my info transferred from BOA so I'm not sure why I needed to answer redundant questions so many times. Waiting for them to finish so I can transfer money and make a purchase. |

I have a Fidelity account and like it a lot. They have a really nice Free Cash Management account that you can link to your investment accounts. I use this as my personal account. Trades are $7.95 but I rarely make trades. They also have a good reputation. And, most of all, I hate BOA and don't want to give them any of my money. |

Yeah, BOA has certainly had some "issues", but when I looked into most other banks, I found the same garbage on all of them. Should probably move my stuff to a credit union. |

I use Scottrade. Do it yourself. $7 bucks to buy, $7 bucks to sell. Any amount. |

Those numbers seem sound. Been doing ok with E*TRADE. They have a sliding scale on trade costs depending on how much you have in the account. I've been impressed with their customer service. |

Today they sent me a message that they need to ask me about some of my responses... I've been with BOA for 26 years, F'ing figure it out, everything they need is right there! |
