Sunday's Wikileaks dump includes an email discussion within the Hillary Clinton campaign about whether they should continue to take money from people who were registered with the U.S. government as foreign government agents under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

At first, on April 15, high-level campaign officials met by telephone and made the honorable decision to not take money from foreign government agents, but, as Hillary’s National Finance Director Dennis Cheng wrote, when he reopened the decision later that same day, “we are leaving a good amount of money on the table.”

The final decision appeared to have been made on April 16. Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook put it, “I'm ok just taking the money and dealing with any attacks.” The next day, Clinton’s communications director Jennifer Palmieri summarized the decision in three words and two exclamation points: “Take the money!!”

This year’s presidential election pits a patriotic candidate (Donald Trump) against an opponent (Hillary Clinton) who knowingly accepts campaign donations from foreign government agents.

WASHINGTON — Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy pressured the FBI to declassify certain emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server that were previously deemed classified, according to FBI documents released Monday.

In the documents, an unnamed person interviewed by the FBI said Kennedy contacted the FBI to ask for the change in classification in return for a ‘quid pro quo.’” “In exchange for marking the email unclassified, STATE would reciprocate by allowing the FBI to place more agents in countries where they are presumably forbidden,” the documents said.

During a later meeting with the FBI, CIA and other agencies, Kennedy was asked whether any of the emails in question were classified. “Well, we’ll see,” Kennedy responded.

The FBI on Monday released 100 more pages from its now-closed investigation into whether the Democratic presidential nominee mishandled sensitive government information.

Whether or not Clinton sent classified emails from her private server that could have jeopardized national security has become a key issue ahead of the presidential election.
