As soon as I saw that light bar appear over the rise in the road I had a feeling that things could get interesting. Especially knowing how much faster that Ninja was going than the rest of us. |

Well I got caught in the rain leaving the BBQ place and got ahead of it for a bit until I had to meet the guy with the Gerbing setup. I didn't like the jacket because it felt like it weighed 20 pounds so I passed on the jacket but made a deal on the pants, gloves, socks and a bag full of wires/thermostats for $225. Right when I got on my bike to leave Danbury the rain had caught up with me. It POURED on me all the way home and by the time I got to RI I'd had enough. I pulled in to the closed rest area as soon as you get into RI and found some shelter so I could change gloves and call my wife to let her know I was ok. And it poured all the way home once I left the rest area. I probably left NY 20 minutes too late cause I could see brighter skies ahead but couldn't catch up the whole way home. I sure am glad that I bought those Frogg Toggs before this trip. Me taking shelter......
All in all it was a good ride and i was able to log in about 500 miles for the day. I have to say that the S3T has to be the best overall bike Buell ever built. |

>>>I have to say that the S3T has to be the best overall bike Buell ever built. For this type of mission the S3T is REALLY tough to beat. I had a factory test bike and got caught in such a toad strangler one day headed from East Troy to NYC. The S3T inspires confidence and doesn't loose it's composure when the weather goes to crap. Smart move hanging out for a while. GREAT PHOTO of the S3T "waitin' it out". |

Great shot Court! Reminded me of a shot I took in Wyoming years ago with a 35mm.
