Martial Law = Civil War. There are no two ways around it.

It's difficult to draw comparisons between 2016 and 1861. Back then the societal rifts were largely sectional; albeit many Southerners sided with the Union and, believe it or not, some Northerners joined the rebellion. Today our divisions are not quite as sectional (actually they kinda are - urban vs. rural) but rather more politically partisan (liberal vs. conservative (thus, urban/rural)).

Suffice to say that in the event of a civil war (which is defined as two or more separate factions fighting over the control of one government, which wasn't what happened here) our current uniform service members will shed their agreements to non-partisanship real quick-like.

I have faith that an overwhelming majority of current mil will side with the people in such a scenario.

As for gun confiscation? There are an estimated 10-15 million AR platform rifles in private hands. That's JUST one type of rifle. Good luck to whomever is tasked with taking them. Pro tip: The powder blue helmets make for very easily identifiable targets and cannot stop a 5.56 much less any larger bottle neck centerfire cartridge.

If Brian's prophesies continue to realize, keep your eye on Texas.

BLM is funded by Soros and is using the exact same game plan that the globalist chumps used in Ukraine. Line for line.
PS Guns are easy to get in Ukraine, teen angers are taught gun firing, safety and maintenance at 14-15 depending on the school.
I was not in a single house that did not have at least on AK.....and look what they did to that country.

The elections will be a dog and pony show. Obama has been cleaning house and forcing out loyalists to the Constitution since nearly day 1. UN troops are already on ground in the U.S. and have a big Joint Forces exercise in September ~ nearly all month long.

You need a cadre of at least 3% that are trained, armed, ready and dedicAted to fight. You don't have it.
When it comes, and it does - bankers, lawyers, politicians and monies cronies - kill the money & and the rest collapses quickly.

Sad to say I saw game scenarios and white papers of this back in 2005. I rang the bell as loud as I could. It will be a very interesting 6 months.

We need about 250,000 new hires each month to hit break even. We did not. Unemployment is up.

A whole lot of figuring like crazy going on. ( figures don't lie but liars figure like crazy )

Short form past the overlapping bull crap?

More people out of work. Less work for those with jobs. Pay not keeping pace with inflation.

And very quietly. ... the free money that props up the companies too big to fail is going to get more expensive. So expect to bail them out again.

Sharp readers may notice the optimistic view from companies that are affiliated with ( and bribe heavily ) the Obama regime.

Apparently BLM's war chest has grown HUGE:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/aug/16/bl ack-lives-matter-cashes-100-million-liberal-foun/

But even with that much cash on hand, do you really think they should be considered a viable threat? During their most recent fracas in Wisconsin it was reported that they were threatening to move their "protests" to the suburbs. That never happened and I think that if it ever does they would end up being repulsed in short order.

The elections will be a dog and pony show.
Agreed. I can't understand how that hasn't been obvious to more people from the beginning. November 6th will be the harbinger, or possibly a date preceding that.

You need a cadre of at least 3% that are trained, armed, ready and dedicAted to fight. You don't have it.
I tend to disagree here. A little more than seven million people represents about 3% of the adult population in the states as of 2013. The total population of registered hunters in America could be as high as 40 million based on data provided by US Fish and Wildlife Service. I can't say with confidence that 100% of these people would take up arms against an invading force but we can probably agree that the overwhelming majority would. Add to that the vast number of gun owners who have no interest in hunting and you already have the world's largest standing army by a long shot. Suburban and rural America have been tooling up to an alarming (or rather delightful as I see it) degree over the past decade. Trained in combat? Not so much, but I do recall a quote that goes something like: "I'll take 10 men fighting for their homes against a whole regiment of trained soldiers".

The large population centers would roll over with ease. That's pretty much a given; but I refuse to believe that rural America will live with a boot on their necks lest all that are willing die resisting. Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic. I'd prefer not find out one way or the other.

1) Start, fund, enable, produce and protect a violent entity that is directly counter to the status quo
2) Let that violence fester, boil over, and grow
2a) a good dose of killin and propaganda must be slathered
3) Institute a Draconian, Authoritarian and Totalitarian solution to the 'crisis' with government forces.

It is pure Hegelian Marxist Dialectic
Thesis x AntiThesis -> Synthesis the classic equation for Problem x Reaction -> Solution was 'improved' by Lenin that said and deployed - that to move the 'Revolution' forward - it could not be purely academic - people had to die, publicly and for the 'good of the cause'

The imposter in Chief is an admitted Marxist - Unfortunately for America - he only drank the Kool-aid and did not study history / economic reprocusions

What would it take to invoke Civil Disobedience / Martial Law
1) Shut off EBT
2) Shut off ATM
3) Stoke the fires of racial tensions to make Americans fight each other..... (100 Mill from Soros does a nice job of stoking that fire)
4) Have a staged / faux domestic 'terror' event
5) Shut off the Power Grid - easy peasy
6) Kill the Interwebz - this has already been beta tested in Hong Kong, Turkey, Egypt and Ukraine - it comes to America
7) Take advantage of a precipitous national disaster / wild fire (hell start one with a nice round of arson - did you notice how the Canadian 'wild' fires were all long the pipeline route and centers that feed into the Keystone lane of travel....and why did Canada refuse Russian aid for that crisis ....especially when the US was not forthcoming with any of their own)

And of course - a gun program of confiscation / trade in for food, water, shelter resources.

America - with the exception of rural pockets that are 'prepped' - would fall quickly.
No money, No Food, No Power
30 days - tops.

REX 84 is instructive
IBM White Papers on Resilience, Transition and Sustainability are the blueprint
and the recent history in Ukraine should be more than enough foreshadowing for you.

PS America / Lithuania just sent 150 TONS of artillery to kill civilians in Eastern Ukraine. They view people as cattle, vermin, miscreant errant data points.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/10/world/asia/north -korea-nuclear-weapons-tests.html?_r=0

You can't blame Obama for all of N Korea's fun times. No president before him has wanted to go to war with China, a nuclear power that actually has ICBM's.

But the missiles are not the primary problem.

The most dangerous weapons platforms, bomb carriers, in recent history are not the descendants of the V-2, they are the rental truck. But there are more to come, and they are far more frightening.

Container ships. All you folk in LA, look at Long Beach and ask if the nice sea breeze will bring the refreshing rain from the detonation in the harbor. ( and surface water nuke explosions are the most nasty for fallout. ) Live in Jersey? Nuf said.

Airliners, so far haven't carried a Bomb. But there are thousands of old 7x7's out there, and it's not that hard to paint a logo on one, and the transponder codes are just a few button pushes away. No need for heavy intelligence operations to get the codes, either. Airliner takes off from Miami, every properly equipped plane for miles can read the code. Even if you are parked. Or in a car with the right transponder gear. One phone call and the incoming plane loaded with a nuke and a pilot who's committed to the Holy cause.. ( say, a #nevertrump fanatic ) can fly right into NYC or Boston, and detonate right over the city. Or in the bay.

Not to say missiles are not a danger. But with radar, you know where they came from. No rational government would attack an enemy run by rational folk.

So we are in DEEP trouble there.

Well. . . . for what it's worth . . . I can tell you that everything coming toward NYC is scanned hundreds of miles out and that the piers are overflown nightly with scanning equipment.

When I was in the Navy, they said the exact same thing about A nuke in a boat. We would have nuclear rain across most of the US (depending on the jet stream location). My MOS was Electronic Warfare technician and we specifically trained for jamming missiles and other airborne threats.

Transponders would be able to be duplicated, but from what I know, alarm bells would go off if a transponder clicked on where it shouldn't be. Not saying it isn't possible, but it probably wouldn't just slip by. It would be easier to fly under the radar and then just pop up where you need to be.

You don't need radar to tell where a missile launches from. We have satellites that take care of that.

Oh and Oakland would be a better target. Take out the bay area including most of the high tech companies... That is where the money is.

I don't think ISIS reads this, and It's pretty obvious anyway. Airliners are handed off from zone to zone. There are gaps, and it's not an integrated system.

I can see several ways to slide in a bogus plane.

If you are in Boston, and the flight is not from overseas, it doesn't get challenged, just directed into the traffic pattern. Flight XYZ from Miami isn't due for 20 minutes, but Bogus xyz just calls in and reports a tailwind. On the right track, just a bit early, no big deal. ( depending on time... how busy Logan is )

Or, again, a bit early on a trans Atlantic run. More talking, more security, but not rocket science.

As far as "scanning" goes.... Superman. Lead. One container may go though a Neutron activation scanner, but a ship pulling into harbor just had a distant pass from a helicopter. If the Soviets or Chinese ( who may have built the equipment ) don't know how to defeat the scanners, the folk who design them do.

You have to resist assuming super competence or super incompetence from the CIA, or FBI, or anyone.

I assume ( perhaps wrongly ) that most of the system works fairly well, but is limited in how fine a sieve it can use, simply based on volume.

This means it may be tough for an enemy to get through, but it is inevitable that they can.

Scenario.
One minivan on the LA freeway has Bomb. Maybe. Unless Joe Biden or Obama is in town you Don't shut down LA on a Whim.

It's been great since we moved to see that people in our new town feel free to display their political opinions. Back in Illinois, most people I knew were afraid of even having a bumper sticker because of the likelihood of having their car vandalized.

I saw this display in my new town this week...

You would NEVER see something like that where I came from. I sent it a friend back in Illinois. He sent this one back of how it's done in Addison IL.

It's sad that in a "progressive" area, peoples freedom of speech are curtailed. That does seem to be how progressives roll though.

I agree.

In NYC you'd risk a physical assault for any Trump display. Yet, I get 25 miles out of town and see a number of Signs, posters and bumper stickers.

My Mother, in addition to a couple dozen bumper stickers, fixed me up with a full complement of magnetic stickers. Not only can I slap them on my vehicle .... But I can paste them on the "significant liberals" Subaru.

A Trump sticker on a Subaru will make a NYC Libtard explode.

Some shrink did a study on car stickers.. his contention was those with a lot of stickers on their cars identified too strongly with the vehicle, or had too much emotional investment, or some psychobabble and that you were more likely to get physical violence from an owner of a heavily stickered car than "normal folk".

Not sure at all if that's true, but it might be.

I do know that the Political/Religious Leftists tend to by inclination and training more destructive to your car if it has a sticker on it that "triggers" them.

Note they take ZERO responsibility for acts of violence or vandalism. YOU made them do it.

So I haven't put a political sticker on my car in decades. I do, occasionally, pick up a stack of eeeevil R. candidates stickers and slap them over Demigodlike D. candidate stickers on cars so they can be looted by their own.

Haven't done that in a while... About time. Note to self get Trump Stickers.
