So as some of you may know, I'm a tech at PPHD in Colorado Springs. A few days ago, I got an 1125 in to work on. I use flat jacks at work on the HDs and bottle jacks at home on the Buells. Well since I didn't have a bottlejack at work, and I can't use a flat jack on a Buell witbout removing the muffler (which I ended up doing anyway), I borrowed the scissor jack, meant for my spare tire, from my car. The bike is still there waiting on parts, so my jack is still there. Fast forward to tonight, about an hour ago. My wife and I went to Sonic, and upon leaving, realized we had a flat tire, drivers side rear. It appears to be a victim of vandalism, as it was a razor in the tire perpendicular, and two other cars in the parking lot also got flats around the same time, both drivers side rear. Fortunately, one of the other patrons was kind enough to not only let us use the jack, but then happily proceeded to change it for us once I pulled out the spare. I would have taken over, but I received an emergency phone call that I had take. Expensive day, but it is still a day that I am happy to be alive and capable, and able to share with you guys.
