Well, Court, the Democratic convention is still to come. Reportedly they have criminal moms and professional victims. They will, however, have some A-list celebrities, because, you know...they know how the rest of us live and what's best for the country.
I've been watching footage from Hillary's campaign and it's dumbfounding how folks blindly support her. Anti this and anti that. You're too dumb to be free so leave it up to me *applause*
Interesting to watch the stories scrolling up on the New York Times . . . . I hear one thing . . .watching Trump right before me . . . . and they write something completely different 2 minutes later.
Like Bill said earlier . . . I am amazed at how many folks will read this crap and believe it.
>>>Has the blood stopped running in the streets from all the shootouts between open carry folks in Cleveland?
The Ohio Militia and a number of groups showed up armed and acted responsibility throughout the entire event. The local PD did and amazing job of keeping things "managed" without escalating or inciting.
Oddly enough . . . the only misbehaved folks were a couple Democratic groups, including the Code Pink loonies . . .
Even though there were some nut case speakers and the convention was run, at times, like a high school pep rally in Des Moines . . the Trumps, the entire family, made tremendous headway in proving they can be trusted to keep promises and restore some . . notably lacking . . values to America in terms of trust, honesty and international responsibility.
Ivanka is impressive and did herself and the cause good by appearing in a $158 dress as opposed to the $5,000 outfits that Hillary and Michelle always appear in. I know some folks who know her and she's her own person and smart as a whip. I was ready to vote for Donald, Jr after his speech. In summary, the Trump kids proved themselves to be thoughtful and engaged with no need to sling mud, yell or act out. They came across as professional and smart. I hope this is a reflection of the type of folks the flamboyant one would surround himself with.
But . . the convention took place without incident and peacefully . . even with groups vowing to "shut Trump down".
A lot of the criticisms of Reagan prior to his election were similar to what you hear about Trump. But Reagan surrounded himself and filled his cabinet with very smart, capable people and he did ok.

Ya know what they say, you can't fake children, either you raised them right, or you didn't, and either way, its easy to tell which is which when they open their mouths. As far as I can tell, he's a good Dad, and good enough for me.
The irony is thick in that, especially considering how many times Amerika has meddled in foreign countries, via invasion, corruption, coup, or vote rigging....i know of 10 personally....because it was my old unit that did it. PS F*ck you ~ Soros & Co., f*ck You all.
The way things are going, we're just postponing the inevitable. That is precisely how America felt in 1980 after four years of Carter. It turns out that the second rate actor who was elected, did a pretty good job. America was restored.
I don't know what Trump is going to do, but I know exactly what Hillary is going to do. I will vote for Trump but my vote will be cast in the Kalifornia Reich where it will be meaningless.
That second rate actor was the governor of California, and had demonstrated his conservative credentials through his writing for years before he became president. Trump...not so much.
I didn't miss it. I watched the debates with my parents, including the primary debates. I asked my parents if Reagan was going to start WWIII, because that's what the dems were saying. They told me to not be silly. This was the first time my parents told me that people will lie to your face, and that you have to be careful about who you believe. We had a 13 inch B&W TV that got, if we were lucky, two channels. We normally weren't allowed to watch TV, so this was a treat for me.
Don't tell them that. I convinced them, as a teenager, that they were dumb as posts, and that I had it under control. Although, they appear to have gotten a lot smarter as I've grown older. I can't explain it.
