Not me. The founders got it mostly right the first time. My problem with progressives is that they have no end in sight - there's nothing that more regulation and govt interference can't make better. Apparently forever. |

Of course there's no end. They sell dependence. Promise to take care of you. All you need to pay is freedom of choice. Just let your betters rule and keep your peasant butt parked on your "man given rights" to free food internet & housing. Bread & circuses. If there was an END to free stuff the ruling aristocracy would be out of a job. So when Barry cuts programs to send poor kids in D.C. to good schools he guarantees they will stay on the plantation. |

Aesquire- don't forget that back in the day the R's were the party of "big government" while the D's were the party of "state's rights". So there was good/bad on both sides even back then. |

When did "In God we trust" move to "In Gun we trust"? What political party is responsible for that. |

Your question proceeds from a false assumption and is therefore unanswerable. |

Guns are an American thing. You wouldn't understand. It's been a traditional since the founding for citizens to be armed and responsible for themselves, despite government and media attempts to say that never happened. That only works on idiots, and we've got a lot of 'em. |

What does forcible disarmament of moral and law abiding people have to do with God? |

To do with God? Everything. In their faith god must be replaced by the Holy State. If you see it that way the purpose of the founders in writing the Constitution to limit the power of the State is heresy. The second amendment is blasphemy in that it's unholy resistance to the primacy of Them over You. The Founders created the first nation where the government ruled by consent of the governed. The leftists want the people to live by the whim of the Rulers. ( as long as they are the Rulers ) When George the Younger was in D.C. they made movies about killing him and cheered. Down with the establishment and protest the decisions of the evil one. Dick the Veep was the antichrist. ( ironic since they reject the bible ) Now Barry is in D.C. and protest against his decisions is racist/blasphemy/satanic. High irony is those who reject religion as primitive superstition are both the most Orthodox and intolerant of other faiths. Ultimate irony is they while rejecting religion are surrendering to Sharia. But no matter what, armed citizens are always a threat to tyrants. |

At least our Government has our interest at heart - an EO to make your day (issued 01 July this year) Executive Order -- United States Policy on Pre- and Post-Strike Measures to Address Civilian Casualties in U.S. Operations Involving the Use of Force (Message edited by Slaughter on July 28, 2016) |

Wow. So we can kill anyone anywhere, so long as we really think we need too, and so long as we are careful about it. Yuck. (I'm not saying that some people don't need killing, and terrorism creates a lot of this problem, which is why the rules of war are structured to preclude terrorism, because it just leads to slaughter of civilians. But, yuck. ) |

London? Dresden? Tokyo? Heck, Richmond, VA and Atlanta, GA during our Civil War. Civilian casualties are nothing new, are they? |
