Hey BW peeps- I've managed to start thinking about attending Vintage Days EARLY enough this year, and I REALLY want to make it if at all possible. The past few years I've missed out, for whatever reason- but I'm starting the planning process. For those who've NOT made it to Barber Motorsports Park, trust me- it's simply fantastic. I've been once, back when the 1125R came out, and got to ride that bike on the track... then we spent the next day at the museum. I can't imagine how kewl it would be with thousands of MC nuts in attendance, most all with vintage machines. So, I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding one or several other friends here who might head there with me. Campsites can be shared, and the tickets and such aren't too expensive. Might have to do a parade lap too, per Vern's advice... Holler!!! http://www.barbermuseum.org/events/barber-vintage- festival/ |

Planning to be there with the CB175 and my "new to me" 450 Super Single. The best view of the Vintage Fest is along the back straight at 100+. Look for #88 in the pits. |

Next year, I'm racing. either my 1125R, or if no one buys ol Porkchop, (XB12R) an aircooled rig. |

OMG. The one and only time I've been on a track was at Barber, on one and another 1125R for two 20 minute sessions in the AM, and another two in the afternoon. Would LOVE to be able to run it again, especially on my Triumph Sprint ST (Triumph is the sponsoring marque this year), but if I go it'll probably be on the R75/7. Might still do a parade lap, just to do it. LOVED the track on those 1125R's. All I have to do is point my front tire down US/TN411 from Mur-vil, and go... takes me right to Leeds, AL. |

Matt, get with someone at Sport Bike Track Time, or the like. You can usually get track time for cheap for a guaranteed number of riders at Little Tally in AL. Nothing better than passing friends on a one way road with no cops and plenty of run off That's what my next event was going to be. Tally is a tight, technical track, with an off camber hair pin curve. Talladega Gran Prix Raceway https://goo.gl/maps/aJtCj4WoEKP2

That looks like a fun little track. Odd that they put the paddock inside the track instead of outside it. |

A few years ago they had all but a few of the existing Brittens at the event. They were all on the track at the same time. I wish I could have seen that. |
