Wheel comes off a car hits another car then hits a motorcycle, then I steal the video and put it on other people's forums to try and drum up clicks.
I also love Hillary

This time the link went straight to the YouTube video and not the click bait site it normally goes to.

After watching it a few times, I'm still not positive the bike is an 1190RX. It might be, but I can't see it well enough to determine what make or model it is.

Crusty, it is, there was a comment on Facebook about it being the only RX in Russia.

Here's the original video from YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSccCn5r2N8

The owner of the bike, Zviadi, posted the video over on the AF1 Racing/EBR Forum shortly after it happened:
http://ebrforum.com/showthread.php?380-Action-Shot s&p=6470&viewfull=1#post6470

Unfortunately, it IS an 1190RX.

He says he's OK. According to him, that was one of only 3 EBR's imported into Russia, and the only one that was sold. It sounds like the bike only sustained minor damage and he should have it back on the road as soon as he gets the parts from LAP.

I watched a big rig tire bounce from car to car like a giant pinball game in front of me. It was a little nerve wracking as traffic was tight and there was little option for escape.

Sucks to be him. It didn't look so bad, considering.

I know it was only the view from one dash cam, but it was like "that tire hit our car and knocked a motorcyclist over, I'd better check our car".

LOL. DP Cars was accidentally on topic! : )

Even linking to the YouTube video, if they uploaded it, monitizes things for them.

Thanks for finding the real link, and the connection that it was an 1190. Small world.

Rider is very lucky to not have lost a leg.

Not a lot you can do in that situation. Oncoming driver tried hard, but got a bad bounce. 1190 rider didn't have any time to react once the tire got punted.

Possible takehomes? That might be one of the less common situations where it makes sense to accelerate through the threat, as if you know you can miss it going forward, the odds of it getting you from behind are very low.

Getting out in front of a loose tire seems to be a poor decision IMO. In this case, speeding up or slowing down would have done the trick, but there was no way to predict that. He was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The bad thing about getting out in front of the tire is that if traffic slows, you are right where you don't want to be. The safest choice is to not get on a motorcycle. We've all already done poorly making that decision.

No chance, nohow that he could have avoided that, unless what Sifo said. It was like a pinball without a Wizard.

Hell, something's gonna kill ya, right? Or, you'll live to tell the tale.

An example of what happens when NASCAR lug nut rules are carried into the real world.

I think he said he's got about $1400 in parts needed.
