Pwnsor-- I'm one of the lucky ones who got out relatively unscathed, 25 years, 8 months and 21day (but who's counting) of being an LEO was enough. Thanks for sharing that Vid.
Do you have any idea who is speaking? With command staff like that, I may still be working...
Very moving. I have a nephew who is swat in he upper midwest. He was shot three years ago arresting a burglar who grabbed an officers gun. Burglar didn't make. 8 of 9 hits within 4 inches, while in severe pain and bleeding profusely. Walks around with lots of bullet fragments in his hip. Enough to set off metal detectors at the airport. Couldn't wait to get back to active duty. Can't say I understand it, but I sure do respect it.
I remember a year or so ago, there was a thread called something about "the militarization of the police force" or something.
There was a lot of cop hate going on in that thread.
I was one of the pro-LEO voices in that thread.
These men are between a rock and a hard place. One one hand, they have a bad name, and no doubt there are a lot of bad apples that ruin it for the whole.
BUT generally speaking, it is because of LEO's that America as a whole can lay their heads on their pillows and sleep at night without fear of bad men.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing".
Back the badge. Even if you don't like some of the individuals that wear it. Back the badge.
